In fairness, I can see Critch's quandry - bar Norburn I can't think of any player who has really cemented their first team place which is pretty worrying. Don't know if this is because of the different formations we're playing or the changes in personell but we're looking a very average set of players.
Lots of work to be done - the squad needs pruning and we're probably 4/5 players short IMHO.

It would help if Critchley played players in their natural positions and not ask them to play somewhere else.

And totally agree we’re still 3/4 players short yet as this squad simply isn’t good enough to make a serious enough challenge on the play offs.

As for pissing this league well………..

Grimshaw
Casey Pennington Husband
Lyons Morgan Norburn Hamilton
Weir
Joseph Lavery

An experienced winger/midfielder is required with the know how to work the ball and cross etc. CJ has his moments but does not have any consistency as we all know. Tactics ,passing etc from your midfielders is good but give me a player who wants to to beat a defender in that midfield any day. Do we have one, the new lad maybe. Think this is why we went after Banks, its that type of player we are missing ! Critchley will produce a well oiled machine but what Ive seen tonight dont think its going to be enough against some of the teams in this division. Its going to be a slog.
I'm sure he knows what is needed, if he gets them then he may find a winning team.

No to CJ, no to Dougall. Neither are good enough.
I think sadly for as disappointing as he is that CJ is the only player who excites me on the ball and Dougall is Mr Consistant.
Don't think Dougall will feature against Orient but be surprise to see CJ benched.

Dougall consistently goes missing.
He should be pulling the strings, but is massively overshadowed by Norburn.
CJ is unfortunately just a faster version of Delfonso, but also likeable, it is just there is not a player in there.
