Thank God it was Alastair Darling dealing with the banking crisis and not some of the Chancellors we have had since.

He seems to be the only bloke in the Western world who didn't respect the guy.
When you look at the chancers and morons in the Cabinet now, you get a good sense of how far we have fallen.
