... and weirdly it was all falling in to place

Had we have beaten Oxford on Saturday and got a win last night, we'd have now been with 2 points of Oxford and a point of Stevenage. Always said it was there for the taking as the likes of Oxford, Stevenage and even Barnsley are no great shakes.

The period before christmas it seemed to be coming together, there were three or four really good performances, and one or two very professional performances. The whole dougall debacle seems to have sent an icy chill trhough the whole club and its not looked the same since. Even the wins weve had have been a bit joyless

It's the hope that kills you but let's be honest, the manager, coaching team and players are massively letting the club down. Sadler needs to take his share of blame also. We are left with Husband as the only option left of a central 3 and he's useless. The squad is so poor; Lavery, Joseph, Kouassi and Beesley are not good enough. Swapping Dale for powderpuff Coulson is a joke. Lyons was a star in the making, now he's a liability. This 3-4-3 system away from home is utter madness. Don't get me started on his 2 teletubby assistants either, our tactics are the worst I've seen since Hendry. The whole lot of them need booting out.

Husband is an embarrassment. How many times was he rolling around pretending he'd been elbowed. And he was the captain! No leadership at all. We need defenders like Evatt, Briggs, Bentley.

Agree about Lyons, I think the way he has been treated has ruined someone who looked destined for the top last season. Not bad for a top coach eh !

Another who dallies on the ball and either gets dispossessed or boots it long out of play. Byers must wonder what he's joined, even Morgan just kept pinging long balls up without any thought. That's either the tactics or the players not listening to the manager, either way it normally means the end of the road for the head coach.

Coulson worse than Dale....
Really?
Never saw anything in Dale that made me think he could regularly beat a man. Defensively he improved, but on what I've seen so far Coulson looks, and offers, more going forward than Dale did.

Both aren't good enough but Coulson hasn't beat anyone yet and looks incredibly weak defensively. He has pace but seems to either fall over or cut back and recycle the ball back to Husband or a midfielder. He played OK at Bristol but hasn't made much of an impression in any other game he has featured.

Nothing was ever falling into place. You could say about any of our fixtures this season ‘if we’d won the last 3 we’d be in a better position’ but we’ve never even looked like going on a decent run

Pool do not win the “right to play” away from home. A central midfield with Morgan and Dembele in it was asking for trouble.

Completely agree.

Thought he was one of best players last Saturday.
