Interesting thread on twitter from him this morning. I know most won't be too interested, but for thoes that like to look into the finances of how clubs are run, this sort of transparency is really good.
One of thoes towns that just seem to being the catchment area of too many clubs to get bigger crowds.'Deserved' relegation sounds like a dig at John Coleman who he fell out with. Contracts up at the end of the season and if they lose him they really will struggle. As a town Accrington doesn't seem to back the football either with the crowds they get.
You're probably right, however if the club came out like this and said exactly why they had to go up then we probably wouldn't lose as many as we would if they were just put up without explanation. This might be a reasonwhy Holt has decided to put this out there now and so that no one is shocked come June.Have to say if St prices went up here following relegation from league 1 then they lose big numbers of St holders.
They went up with relegation from the Championship.Have to say if St prices went up here following relegation from league 1 then they lose big numbers of St holders.
No they didn't.They went up with relegation from the Championship.
Yep sorry same price with a plastic card.No they didn't.
I've just seen that Holt also said he paid a few players out of their contracts as well. He sounds seriously pissed off with recruitment both in terms of quality and siging players that were already injured when they got there38% of their salary has gone on players that have been injured is crazy when looking at recruitment.
I’d be interested to see what our figure was last season having signed Trybull, Goode, Bridcutt, Fiorini who all had long periods out38% of their salary has gone on players that have been injured is crazy when looking at recruitment.
He still wants to sell, but won't let it go to someone who won't run it properly. He said it could take a couple of years to find the correct owner and so far he's had very little interest. He has said that he isn't funding the club like he used too, that's why these measures are coming into play to make the club sustainable.Thought Andy Holt had chucked his toys out of the pram and left Accy?
He's now admitted that the club probably won't sell so he's had to put this plan into action because he won't be putting another £1m into next season. Looks like he's gonna be there for the long haul unless someone else comes out of the blue.He still wants to sell, but won't let it go to someone who won't run it properly. What’s petulant about putting ST prices up to sustain the club which he is justifying?Thought he was leaving 6 months ago?
He seems a bit petulant to me.

Have you seen the tweets from last season where he was outing his players and manager on twitter? He also was saying he's done with it all. Just seems like a bit of a nob to me.What’s petulant about putting ST prices up to sustain the club which he is justifying?
Yeah maybe. I’m sure he had his reasons though.Have you seen the tweets from last season where he was outing his players and manager on twitter? He also was saying he's done with it all. Just seems like a bit of a nob to me.
Yep, I think a salary cap is the only way to do it. Different levels for different divisions otherwise more clubs will go under. Would also help to level the playing field, particularly in the Prem.Ultimately as ever this comes down to players wages. The club could run at a profit if it kept the player wage bill within their means.
Unfortunately that then massively limits who you recruit but if you don’t have the cash, you don’t have the cash. They could I am sure find a big chunk of that £20k per week loss by reducing the players wages.
Sooner or later football has to do this.
Yes, there was the additional £20 for those who chose the card. In M Block, at least the price went down by £50.Yep sorry same price with a plastic card.
Typical of the this country... cutting prices for the top table.... oops wrong side of the board.. sorry 66 couldn’t resistYes, there was the additional £20 for those who chose the card. In M Block, at least the price went down by £50.
