We spoke to Angel this week.

Was interesting to hear about how he had limited English when he first joined but embraced the seaside, his second daughter was born here and it quickly became his second home.

He also explained why he had to leave and how he still looks out for the club now - hoping to even one day return as a manager.

I can imagine. He always comes across as a genuinely nice, down to earth guy.

Proper surreal day. Ludo was deemed worst trainer the day before so was on tea duties. To see a Frenchman trotting around with a huge teapot was hilarious

Lots of footballers get bad press but Angel is the ulitmate pro and gentleman.

Like fair few players how oyscum treated him and offered him 50% less (I can't imagine he was one of our big earners) whilst he was in Spain was disgusting but not surprising.

Great listen!! One of my all-time favourite players. Just wish he could have been fit in his last season with us & we didn't have the scum involved (or mess of a management situation). Would have been here for years I would imagine. Would love it if he got into some Coaching role back over here, certainly sounds like he hasn't ruled it out.

He is very active on social media (instagram and facebook) and has been through a hard time with operation.

He always has a smile on his face and comes across as a very genuine, decent person. And he often mentions Blackpool.
