Wouldn't surprise me if "paulco" is little George on a revenge windup...the little prick [no apologies if it isn't ! ]
 
A better Everton analogy would be when they brought in Allardyce halfway through the season to keep them up, which he did (and then some). Difference here is that Everton pretended like it would maybe be a long term appointment, whereas BFC have given McCarthy a short term contract with the sole purpose of staying in the Championship.
