Another frustrating day

A damp squib of a game and one that had 0.0 written all over it until thompson unfathomable pass. He genuinely looked like he didn't know what to do with the ball and played a crazy ball inside. Great finish by the bolton lad to be fair but we've chucked away what would have been a good point.

Aside from dembele hitting the post we never ever threatened them. If we are going to play Rhodes then you have to feed him as he doesnt do a lot in general play. On a day like today is he a luxury we carry in the hope that he gets that one chance?

Mid table beckons unless we can shake ourselves out of what appears to be a slumber and go on a run. We aren't good enough to play keep ball and move teams about, and when we do create an opening we invariable make the wrong decision.

Just give us some entertaining front foot football that was the USP of critchleys re-appointment please!

I think we are a mid table side and that is where we will finish

The unfathomable pass was Husbands to Thompson instead of clearing it as it gave him no option whatsoever.

Yeh I go with this, dodgy pass to Thompson under pressure who tried to just hook it away with his right foot. Wasn't a great clearence but I'd say the error was more Hubby's putting him in the sh1t on his wrong foot. Other side to where I was sat though so I maybe wrong
 
There's a time to play out and a time to be pragmatic and put he ball in their half
Husband should have played the ball further up field
A small mistake a big goal
In hindsight if Thompson put the ball out for a throw in the game probably remains 0 - 0
On the whole Husband and Thompson work well together

Every…single…game

Yes they are bang average. And played a game less than us. And are 11 points ahead of us. And have a goal difference 11 better than us. So they are averaging a lot better than we are for an average side in an average League One. I think we have to look at our coaching style as being below...

He missed an easy pass 1st time and then could easily have avoided their player on the 2nd one. Husband could have booted it too but Thompson should have been expecting to be able to clear that ball. He messed up.
 
I thought at the time that neither really took responsibility for the situation. Not one of Hubbys best games, he gave the ball away on a number of occasions by trying to force the pass.
