Another mad EFL decision?

So it seems we have had to squeeze a lot of games in to this season, so how would the EFL explain that the Championship goes on a week longer than we do? Why not spread the season out a bit more and take out a Tuesday night game? This season seems to have been more relentless than ever and it just seems the schedulers have no idea of the impact on players (or fans!).

The FA Cup Final is taking place on the Saturday of the bank holiday weekend. Thus taking the place of a play off final which would normally take place that day….

The championship has far more teams effected by international call ups so hence there season is slightly longer to accommodate those missed weeks.

The National League is a week shorter than us as well ; clubs like Halifax and Truro who have had weather problems have ended up playing four or five games in the last week to finish on time. Halifax have had to play three home games on neutral grounds to manage it.

Whoever the game is organised for - it's certainly not the smaller clubs.

Which was fine when it was only full Internationals you could get a game called of for now it's all age groups.

Fleetwood for example(called off twice for us) haven't played a single minute when International weekend is on.
