Another Matthews suite question

Anyone know how strict the dress code is in the Matthews suite ? Just seen no trainers or track suit tops. Which is pretty much all I have apart from work suits, or at least all I was thinking of packing (am an exile).

Dress code -- The dress code is smart casual. Smart denim is permitted. No sportswear,Sports trainers, football shirts/kits, tracksuit tops/bottoms or shorts. This policy is strictly enforced on match day. We reserve the right to refuse entry. The only exception is for any under 16's where Home shirts/colours and trainers may be worn.
This is an excerpt from the directives given each matchday.

Yep I was wondering how strict/relaxed they are as I've done hospitality at several grounds but don't remember it being that strict.

Remember the day my mate who was a stalwart in the lounge and brought his son who wore a very expensive pair of jeans (talking £300+) and was refused admission by that horrible Jane woman - he went to Primark (or similar) and bought a cheap £10 pair of trousers and was let in!

I don't think under 16's are allowed without supervision but ring hospitality on 609978 to be sure. The youngsters enjoy being photographed with the players both before and after the match -- its good PR. I am an hospitality ST holder and have never seen any unruly behaviour.

Just an update for those that are thinking of doing it. Firstly it's a great way to spend a few hours before the match. Food is fairly basic but good enough and waitress service was excellent throughout with various bits of entertainment, inc player interviews, to keep you amused. As for dress code I'd say it's not that strict, with people in trainers and t-shirts, not polo shirts. Seating is all named like at a wedding so no rush to get there early. Dessert is served at HT and you can also pre-book a drink so 30 secs after HT whistle you are sat back at your table with a cake and a pint :) I'd deffo do it again.
