Another vlogger on Blackpool (as a town)

Thats ten minutes of my life I won't get back but it was steangelg compelling somehow.
 
Easy to go looking for bad parts of a town, while ignoring the decent parts, however, if we’re honest, it’s pretty accurate. Those parts of the town need bulldozering.

Of course there are parts of the town which need investment and improvement, but I feel like some of his points are strange.

For example, he asks ‘why do people come to Blackpool on holiday for the week, what is there to do?’

The fact is that there is plenty to do, and the surrounding area is also worth exploring with Blackpool as a base.

I came across it after simply having searched ‘Blackpool FC’ on YT.

Look at the caption: ‘Blackpool’s darker side!’.

It’s just to pull people in for ‘likes’ and views. To be honest, I wish bloggers would realise that they have a responsibility here. I don’t want tourists to think that our town is misrepresented by people like this.
 
Blackpool has its faults but it knocks the socks off plenty of other places with a combination of indoor and outdoor attractions. It can be as expensive or cheap as a visitor wants to make it.
 
That’s his USP i guess. I imagine he will go to the sh*ttier parts of various towns doing a vid on each. Crap way to spend your time if you ask me.

He would no doubt love to witness a mugging or robbery to help drive subscribers.

He doesn’t seem to engage with anyone or try to find anything positive in the area he is walking around. Just comes across as a parasitic voyeur.
 
That part of Blackpool is quite literally just off the Prom, so it definitely is the Blackpool most people see. If he wanted to show the Blackpool people don't see he'd go more inland, but that'd be quite boring as it'd be regular people living a fairly regular life in the residential areas.

You’ve just reminded me of that film with Jake Gyllenhaal…his character basically films grim stuff like car accidents and sells the footage to news broadcasters. Have you seen it?

Nobody gives a f about vloggers' but it must pay I suppose. Could have been worse it might have been on tik tok

I imagine he lives in Bolton and hates every single day of his life? He heads to ‘shitholes’ in a hope to find somewhere that is more depressing than his current sad existence.

Arrived at the sea and realised it was awesome to be on any sea front anywhere in the world so quickly skipped over that in a vain hope to find somewhere deprived to sneer at.

Any given Friday he will be queuing for his benefits telling anyone that will listen that he’s really famous on You Tube…. Earns feck all per hit.

15-20 million visitors a year must find something to do with their time!
 
What a shock, another vlogger shows a video of Bond Street in February, and goes on about it for 12 minutes.

He reminded me of a more miserable version of Karl Pilkington.

I didn't look at the numbers of subscribers, but surely this clown's videos would be better if they gave a balanced view of the place he's visiting. Not very well researched either, not much to do in Blackpool for a week?

no Gravesy not seen it. Nightcrawler is the film. If you tell me its worth a watch I’ll put it on my list.

Now this is more like it.

Two ladies use Fleetwood as a base and venture into Blackpool for tourist attractions.

Not a short watch at 30 minutes, but a decent portrayal of what our town has to offer. And they didn’t even go to Stanley Park!
