Anthony Joshua

I totally get what you mean, he just doesn’t have that personality where you root for him, you just new from early on he doesn’t need the money, already earns plenty.
Tyson is the peoples Champ, he’ll never live up to that I’m afraid, but I do hope he wins.
👍👍

Hopefully AJs new corner do the trick, he was badly advised in the last fight. 55/45 in Usyks favour but going for r AJ by KO round 8/9

I know that Usyk is the better boxer, but I think Joshua will have a changed approach and will stop him. I agree that he doesn't have a great deal of character and with his style is like Bruno, but without the whit and charisma. Still hope he wins though, just to see him fight Fury.

2 x World Champion, Olympic Gold Medallist not bad is it for a “robotic” boxer.

Hope he wins and we can finally have Fury fight him as Fury will give his purse to charity… that’s if he’s not retired, going to fight Chisora, wants to fight for free or wants 500m for it.

2 x world champion just means he's already been beaten and lost his belts in AJs case twice. I don't mind him but he's a manufactured boxer who hasn't really got it at the elite level. He's lucky the heavyweight division (Fury apart) isn't up to much at the moment. Usyk is a brilliant boxer but he's a cruiserweight and would be taken apart by Fury.

I think he’s had about 7 or 8 defences… which is a lot more than Tyson Fury.

I don’t doubt for a second Fury is the better boxer but I think Joshua’s achievements are dismissed far too easily. You don’t win a World title twice & defend it 7 or 8 times if you haven’t really got it. He’s been in the top 2 or 3 in the World, which is pretty good 😊

Usyk v Fury would be a very interesting one.

It would, much more interesting than Joshua vs Fury, Usyk would be much more of a test for Fury but you still can't see him losing to anyone.

Expect Usyk to win on points again. Usyk v Tyson Fury would be a complete mismatch though. Fury is 6ft 9in and fights at more than 19 and a half stone. Usyk is 6ft 3in and fights at less than 16 stone. Only one winner there

I'm not dismissing his achievements, you can only beat what is there and not many boxers ever get to be heavyweight champion but there's just something about his boxing I can't take to.
I'd like Usyk to win tonight but I suppose AJ is on a lose lose from my point of view. Firstly cos I think Usyk is a better boxer and will win but 2nd even if AJ wins its cos I think Usyk is a cruiserweight 😂😂.
Good luck to them both and hope it's a good fight

I’d much prefer a British to win anything, but I saw the first fight and even with my limited knowledge of boxing it’s obvious Usyk is miles better. I’d be surprised if A-Josh gets a meaningful punch on him.

Spot on after all after all Joshua never raped anyone, spent time inside or any of that stuff so has no chance of being the people's champ. Too boring for words.

Always want the British fighter to win. I know he’s wooden, but there’s something mentally with Joshua as well. We’ll see later whether he genuinely has the fire in him to win, or if he’ll retire after tonight sue to another heavy defeat.

Fury is a decent fighter but a joke, a liar and can't get out the game quick enough.

A true champion stays and beats everyone not runs off.

That to charity bollocks was embarrassing, he was so keen to tell people what he would do but upon questioning was all over the place and then didn't want to reveal where he had given it.

But no one ever called him out properly on it, if that was AJ lying about doing that he be destroyed.

Really hope AJ wins, he has so much potential but after Vlad he went defensive and negative, if he brings back the aggressive AJ he will win.

The heavyweight division needs it as who else is there with Fury running off....

I think Joshua’s peak has passed unfortunately, I am rooting for him and want him to win, but I think Usyk plays the mind games better and will out box him. Can’t see anything else than an Usyk win.

I would really like Joshua to win, but as others have said if he tries to fight in the same way he did in the first fight he will lose convincingly and probably get stopped

He needs to adopt a similar plan to that used by Fury against Wilder in their second and third fights- lean on him, use his 23lb weight advantage to slow Usyk down

That been said Usyk is a lot harder to tie down and hit than Wilder so easier said than done.

A timid AJ gets beaten comfortably, an aggressive front foot AJ at least has a chance, but risks gassing later on

Either way I’m looking forward to the fight

AJ ran away from Wilder, disgusting it didn’t happen, thought he would take the easy option in the form of a little fat Mexican. Same with Fury thought he would take the easier option in the form of a cruierweight from Ukraine. Don’t get me wrong AJ has done well, but a true champion sorry no, at bestI would say the 4th best behind Wilder, Fury, Usyk and maybe even add Joyce ahead of him.

Joshua loves to dominate. When he's not on top and getting big shots on his chin his self confidence drains. You can see his nervous smile come out. Shown by Uzyk and Ruiz

If he'd have fought a younger Kiltschko he'd have lost (he nearly did when they fought)

Uzyk for me, but will be a great fight is AJ does win

That first sentence is the biggest load of bollocks I've ever read when it comes to boxing on this forum.

One has a decent resume against actual boxers. The other has only fought ONE decent fighter in his entire career. And lost arguably 3 times. Shittest heavyweight champion of a generation.

I think A J will hide behind his height and reach and try for a points win using his jab.
If he does try that he'll get knocked out imo.

No he didn't, you believe that bullshit 50 million pr offer they knew he couldn't accept because he was with sky.

Wilder ducked aj on the even bigger dazn offer. They had no intention of ever fighting AJ, only building up wilders name of his.

And they only took Fury because he was a fat cokehead alcoholic mess for 3 years. Came back and still nearly fucked him up.

This biggest puncher in HW history is nonsense.

Wilder is a serious banger. You don't get 41 KOs if you aren't a serious operator. Had Fury down and nearly out and he is 6ft 9in and nineteen and a half stone.

He really isn't. He knocked out 40 odd bums before Fury. AJ would have smoked Fury post coke/alcoholic stint.

I just can't get in this day & age two blokes beating the shit out of each other?
When I was young and full of bravado sometimes I beat the shit out of someone and sometimes they did the same to me, all for nothing. If Joshua or anyone else wants to beat the shit out of me, they can do for a few million quid.😁

To get to be world heavy weight champion you ain’t no bum, rooting for AJ then get the Battle of Britain on

Wilder is a huge puncher which got him out of jail loads of times- watch for example his fights against Artur Spilka and especially Louis Ortiz when he was getting royally hammered before his one punch power ended things

Decent effort but just not good enough. How the one judge gave it AJ is the mystery of the night!
I thought it was pretty even up to R9 (quite a few rounds you could argue either way) but Usyk absolutely walked the last 3 rounds so won reasonably comfortably in my opinion

After all the bravado and the victimhood, rags to riches story it turns out you're just a prick with an attitude. Dropping your belts and grabbing the mic after you lost? Knob.

We let the "accidental" racism about only shopping in black shops go. Turns out you're just a bell end.

You really did play with feathers and get your arse tickled

You ain't elite but nice try.

What a classless knob, his behaviour at the end was so petulant.
He lost, should have congratulated Usyk and got out of the ring and waited to be interviewed. But no he had to make it all about him and tell everyone about his boring back story, again, and his ‘struggles’. We’ve all had those you idiot, some people are having their homeland invaded and bombed.
Sorry don’t feel to much sorrow for the multi multi millionaire Joshua.

As I said earlier in this thread and got criticized for it, he is not nor ever was a class fighter, good enough to make a lot of money but cannot compete with the best heavyweights around. Fury will also beat him easily, probably Wilder and maybe even Joyce. He only took on Klitschko when he was a spent force, and nearly lost that. Oh and it was never a close split decision fight I had Usyk winning by at least 6 rounds.

I wasn't aware at the time but one of the lads in the team we bowled against last week was apparently one the three judges for the Joshua fight.

Describing the situation in Ukraine as 'civil unrest' was ignorant and embarrassing. He should of just congratulated Usyk and shut up. Instead he took away Usyk's moment. Classless.

Not his finest moment - he is so used to being centre stage he got confused! He talks in sound bites and cliches. He’s like a robot that needs rebooting
