Any changes for Oxford?

A few bits of criticism of some of our players from Saturday and so any changes for Saturday?

He will play Thomson next week as per Charlton.
Thomson is alright IMO. He’s had time out for his mistakes and played good enough to get back in the side. Maybe come on as sub. My only iffy one at the mo’ is Carey.
I thought this would be the season where he excelled but it’s not happened yet. Critchley will keep playing him tho’ and let’s hope he comes good asap.

You'd think good possession will be limited so it will be vital that set plays aren't wasted. Probably Morgan might get the nod over the other clone's* in midfield for that reason.

Can't see Dembo starting. Can see Lavery doing so for his workrate. It will be a cautious approach from the premise that we had a point at 2.55.

I thought Carey had a good game against Stevenage and seemed to be working well with Dale. Though theres still the feeling he could be better , hopefully its coming.I think Critchley may play Lavery this time.

Injuries aside stick with the same line up.
But I suspect he will look at Oxfords league position and go more defensive
I can see Thompson for Dale and maybe a slight change amongst the 3 midfielders

Yes that would make perfect sense. CC is a natural born left wing back
I wouldn’t mind him coming in to shore up the midfield but NOT left back
I'm just saying it's a possibility given he's played left wing back more often than anyone else this season and Critch may go ultra defensive away to Oxford.

He'll definitely have us on the defensive vs Oxford. He'll look where Oxford are in the league and shit his pants.

We'll probably have to go two goals down before we start to play as we should of from the start of the match.

Hope I'm wrong of course

I would keep the same team, however I would move CJ and Dougall to the left, and Dale and Carey to the right.
Oxford cannot cope with crosses into the box, and this would allow both wingbacks to cross with their stronger foot.

Never change a winning team has always been my motto!
Watching Leroy lita on under the cosh and he said Steve Coppell had same motto. Even if u played shit if team won the team stayed same the next game. Lita was praising what a great manager he was.

So hope he keeps same team but as others have said can see him changing it 😤

I think you have to look at everything as a ‘unit’ and last Saturday it worked without picking out individuals for either praise or criticism. So in that respect I wouldn’t change it.

agree with that but carey with a more advanced central role which more suits his way of playing, head of a triangle rather than a flat three in midfield.

I would he can't pass and is often caught flat footed defensively, leave him on the bench for his versatility/inability to nail down a position.
