Anyone else on or tried Venlafaxine

Worst antidepressant I've ever been on and I've been on many.... This stuff should be illegal. Horrendous life since on it.

Couple years I think, plus no booze since October. I'll speak to my Dr. There's even a Facebook support group for withdrawals.
The withdrawals are particularly bad from venlafaxine that’s for sure. Even taking a dose an hour late and I can start to get dizzy and light headed. It’s imperative you taper off it really really slowly if that’s what you want to do. And your GP should manage you coming off too.
I’ve managed to come off it twice, but it wasn’t pleasant for a month or so after. Ended up back on it again anyways so it was a pointless endurance in my case.

Are you on the modified slow release version in a capsule ?

Extended or prolonged release ones. Vencarm. Yeah I just feel like Escitalopram may be better for me

Definitely speak to your GP then as soon as.

It took 4 others before I landed on this one, the others did nothing for me but venla has been a godsend. BUT, as we keep saying, it’s not one size fits all.

Make sure you get help to taper of though, don’t go cold turkey.

And good luck Matt 👌

Good luck Mark, but speak with your doctor and avoid those Facebook groups. I always feel they’re often full of people that enjoy others suffering and anxiety.

My mother used to read them through her terminal cancer and it made her feel worse.
