Supposed to travel back from Rhodes last night after a week here with the kids, 6 hours at the airport to be told flight cancelled, shipped out to a hotel at 3.30am this morning. No sign of any Jet 2 rep, no messages and no idea of flight home with two grumpy teenagers is good fun! Some people have been told they won’t have a flight until Monday …
 
I know several people affected by this. One had to get the Eurostar back from Brussels today (will be able to claim it back but had pay an extra night's stay, food, trains etc). Another coming back from Lisbon, flight cancelled, now on the train to Porto then a flight to Geneva then a flight to Manchester.
 
Sort of, I was due to fly back to Tenerife from Manchester yesterday after a weekend in Southport. Now flying home tomorrow afternoon from Liverpool.

Daughters partner due to fly easyJet home from Prague yesterday...told no flights to Manchester until Sunday... think he’s due back in school for inset day Friday. Been told fly to Iceland tomorrow...then Manchester... home late Thursday!

That’s a worry - I’m the same Inset day this Friday, but we’re being told now we might be out tonight, not confirmed but fingers crossed.

Hopefully it will take off….just ask the Captain not to make too much noise if you are landing in Manchester….we can really hear the planes landing if coming in over the Cheadle End😂
Safe journey……next door came back from Spain yesterday having been sat on the plane for well over 4 hours before take off and they have one 12 year old and one six year old so you can imagine how that went😂but at least they got home.
