THIS IS NOT DEFINITE.

I have contacted a charter company who are at Blackpool Airport to see what it would cost for a day return to Exeter on Saturday.

Please post on here if you could be interested - and I do appreciate price will be a factor and if it’s daft it will not happen.

Anyone with an interest??

Ps you don’t need to be a member of any supporters club to travel 🤣

Good luck with this one.

I looked into it last season for the Southampton game in the FA cup the quotes were astronomical, £22,000 for a 72 seat turbo prop that’s £305 each and that’s if you fill it of course less numbers the price goes up.

They (Loganair) offered a cheaper alternative flying from Manchester as much lower landing fees but that defeats the object.

Smaller aircraft/less seats and you’re looking at even more ££££££.

Like i said good luck with it.

Definite.

Hope it comes off for you.

From memory think it was £180 each back then
Think you’re right it was definitely under £200 as I recall.
Things to remember since back then the airport was already operating commercial flights with Jet2 (think this was a Jet2 charter to either Cardiff or was it Bournemouth using a Boeing 737) but the airport lost it’s CAT 9 licence since it closed in 2014 and these days its only running at CAT 4 so when a larger aircraft operates it costs a lot more more to cover things like additional emergency services and additional staff like ATC if it’s out of normal hours that’s why it’s much cheaper to fly from other airports like Manchester/Liverpool.
Also the price of jet fuel has risen by some 30%-40% since those days when it was done at a much more competitive cost.

Last time we played Exeter, we flew down on the Saturday morning with Flybe from Manchester. £39. No wonder they went bust.

Train back was around £60

Me and La Levi were on that flight, can’t remember how much it was, the aircraft was a BAE 146 based at Warton, no idea who chartered it. Great day mind and we were back in the Saddle about 8-30.
I remember it took longer to get from Cardiff airport to the stadium on the coach than it did to fly from Blackpool to Cardiff 🤣

I went on one to Cardiff and I recall it being about £200. Was in the Air Balloon at about 7 waiting for the missus to pick us both up.

Not that I have good memories of Cardiff airport. Our Corfu to Manchester flight was diverted there so the Cardiff holidaymakers had a plane as theirs had broken down. We were given a carton of orange juice and a bag of crisps with the coach driver not stopping all the way back just so they stayed inside the timeframe where compensation wasn't payable.

I knew it was going to be a bad day when we were delayed at Corfu airport and I spent all our last Euros on food and drinks for the 4 of us only for the airline rep to hand out food vouchers 10 mins later.

I did one from RAF Valley in Anglesey to fly down to Cardiff to watch Prestatyn play Barry Town a few years ago it cost about £50 each

I've no idea how they manged to get it so cheap

I’ve been delayed at Corfu airport, just spent 10 days on a lads holiday in Kavos, the flight ended up being delayed for 9 hours. Possibly one of the worst airports I’ve been to, the only shop that was open only sold cheese and wine
