Anyone giving Scotland a Chance?

Weird lot, same as the Welsh. They'd rather we got knocked out in the groups than progress themselves.

Think it'll be a boring nil nil Friday. Germans are slow started, and they'll put 10 men in defence.

They’ll beat Germany 1-0 then get hammered in the next two and come home. Germany will recover and go on to win it.
I could see this happening actually!
Opening game is usually the best time to catch a host nation.
Scotland always better in the underdog role so could see Scotland getting a 0-0 or 1-0 win on Friday!
After that though back to normal as Switzerland and Hungary are underrated teams.

Possibly the worst team in the tournament.

0 points and 3 dull defensive performances awaits.
What a load of tosh. They play as a team and look to play on the front door. Clarke has done a great job with fairly limited resources .
Of late i.e the last year or so, their form has improved hugely with quite a few decent young players coming into the team and doing ok

Form improved what utter tosh.😂

They've won one single game in 9 against the might of Gibraltar last week not winning a match since those big hitters Cyprus last September.

Their current form is awful and been spanked by England, France, Netherlands and er Northern Ireland.

Unfortunately they will go down as having the worst team and still the best fans . . . knowing your team will probably get battered but still travel in massive numbers - every credit to them.

They've been organised with a decent midfield under SC but seriously lack a quality striker. If they go behind can't see where the goals will come from.

No doubt the krauts will be very worried about the threat that Scotland present but I don't expect them to be quite that tight.

When I think of some of the class players Scotland have produced in the 60's and 70's. Dalglish, Law, Souness, Bremner, Baxter, Gray, Rioch, Gemmill, Robertson, Jimmy Johnstone, Hansen, Buchan, Hartford, St John, Gilzean, Lorimer, McGrain, McNeil, Mackay, Cooke etc. I'd struggle to name half a dozen now

Some players there Slime but how dare you leave out Davie Coop.

None of the players you mentioned managed to get through the group stages although to be fair they did qualify in both 1974 and 1978 but I suppose anybody could qualify in those days ?
