Anyone heard anything about Connor O'riordan from Crewe

We are supposed to be linked with him, may just be paper talk, but with Tharme gone we may need another cb.
6ft 4in from Crewe and scores goals
 
We’ve already got 5 central defenders. Don’t need anymore we need to be downsizing the squad. The amount of money we must be shelling out for players who rarely get on the pitch beggars belief
 
It seemed Blackburn had this sealed up a few weeks ago, albeit they were bickering over the timing of payments.

We were mentioned as one of the interested parties. No idea, of course, whether there’s anything in that.

Who rarely gets game time? Can't think of many tbh.

Made a chunk of that from cup runs.
If he is worth that amount with potential to improve then sure a deal could be done especially if Crewe think Rovers are messing them about
 
Ekpiteta, Connelly and Husband are all out of contract at the end of this season. I can't see them all re-signing. We need some additional height and pace at the back

Ekpiteta won’t resign and to be honest his best days are behind him so an upgrade needed. Connolly will be released I suspect and Hubby has every chance of resigning in my view and would be an important signing for me👍

Apparently, ourselves and the nobbers are after O'Riordan but Rovers say they have tied a deal up.

He's only played 11 games at League 1 level but has been capped by Ireland U21s as has Andy Lyons so they have probably played together

There is a stumbling block that Blackburn can only pay in instalments and Crewe want money upfront.
Preston have a FFP issue that they would need to sell someone before they signed him.
