Anyone not renewing

Name a club that hasn't served up some dross in the last 2 or 3 years.

And also compare the dross football percentage of the last 12 months with the previous 2 years.

Also, compare the degree of dross in those two periods. Which dross was the drossiest?
Many fans cannot afford tickets amid England's most deprived town.

With a crisis in living costs, countless others must budget on best value.

Football that goes sideways and back suggests alternative entertainment.

The irony remains a £7m relegation loss followed Championship on the cheap.

Sadler has again made a divisive hire, a coach sacked twice after recent failures.

Two earlier decisions to restore former managers proved unpopular flops.

McCarthy's unwise appointment compounded distrust in stewardship.

Supporters would betray naivety to buy season tickets before investment proof.

The club must spend the compensation for Critchley's exit and Bowler's move.

Further cash would become available if top goalscorer Yates goes elsewhere.

More parsimony would justify stayaways.

I want to believe you but you know as much as I do..sod all. No disrespect btw.
Of course it's going to be better in terms of results. There are no teams even remotely close to Burnley, Shef Utd, Coventry, Luton and Boro. Will we make the top 6, I'm not sure, but I'm 100% sure we'll see much better results under a coach that can actually prepare players and have an ounce of technical nowse. None of the defensive suicide and headless chicken stuff under Crappleton. Nor the dino-ball we suffered under Old Mick. If you're so negative about our chances, maybe it's best you do give it a miss this season?

I must admit I find it slightly ironic people banging on about supporting the manager now when the majority of fans had the knives out for Appleton from day one

Man with laptop thrashes out short blunt paragraphs.

Nothing good ever happens to report on due to penny pinch ways of top man Sadler.

Tickets are too expensive for cost of living victims who cant afford bread and bus tickets.

One man must subside all tickets and spend millions to entertain the subsidised masses.

The ball must move at angles pleasing to the poor people of the town.

Buying tickets would be an act of stupidity when the steward of the club does not conform to their expectations.

Fag packet calculations indicate millions not spent.

I will ,of course, take heed of your advice.

Are you the new Blackpool FC reporter for the Gazette?😂

Look, you can't compare the 2. One failed, producing dire football and scarpered as quickly as he could. I wasn't arsed about the fact he left us, I was naffed off because he's tactically useless and plays a brainless brand of football. On top of that I found him dour and arrogant, which was a mystery because barring 1 decent season with Oxford in L2, he's failed everywhere.

Critchley produced a free scoring side in L1 and with a tiny budget used his tactical nouse to get us to 16th. Hugely successful and bonded with the fans after the first 15 games or so. Hardly the same now is it Phil? No doubt you'll be sniping from the off and already preparing your 'told you sos'!

I wrote on football at the Mirror, for other nationals, regionals and local press.

It never led me to pull any punches.

Matt Scrafton proved a prolific journalist on Blackpool games, news and comment.

But he should have penned his "Appleton: the wrong fit" line before his arrival.

A warning in the town's newspaper, along with fans, may have averted disaster.

Yeah I get it you dont like Appleton

But most of that is bollocks

I will be supporting Critchley and the club because the way Appleton was treated has partly caused us to be back in league one

We can all learn from past mistakes

Fans like you have blood on your hands

Fans now need to support

Give it a rest, blood on my hands. I didn't want Appleton but was behind him at the start. The Burnley, Shef and Nobber games gave me hope but by the time the international break came it was clear he was not very good and that his brand of football was 1 decent performance in every 6 or 7 games. Plus any manager who picks Maxwell over Grimshaw deserves some stick.

Whereas you seem to ignore the fact that under Critchley we had a much better win percentage, put in some great performances and were lightyears ahead of Appleton tactically. But I am glad you are going to support the team and get behind Critchley, let's see how long that lasts before you're on here spreading your poison.

You couldn't wait to pile into Appleton

I wanted him gone after the Wigan game, I don't think I was in the minority. I had reservations about Critchley after the first 10 games of our promotion season also and voiced those concerns on here. So my thoughts are hardly hypocritical, in fact they are pretty consistent.

Lets wait and see how Appleton does in his next job eh?

It's not about Appleton

Give over, you've had a chip on your shoulder all season and was pretty much a loan voice sticking up for him. He was useless, albeit not helped by other failings at the club. It beggars belief how much you stuck up for a complete duffer, yet slagged Critchley off at every possible opportunity. There's one hypocrit on this thread and they're, short, bald and from Wales.

Has there ever not been a time when we all need to stop buying tickets because the club are failing to invest and make good appointments? I feel like you have a ‘one thing’ problem and a ‘one thing’ solution that you just apply to everything (recognising this is all just a wind up and you’re a nobber, but still).

You were better value in the Oyston days to be fair, I loved it when you call Karl “Klepto” 😂

I'm not from Wales, I'm from Marton

I'm really excited about the new season. Won't buy until I get paid mid-June but whilst I genuinely hesitated last season after Critch went, they are more than welcome to take my money this year.

Definitely renew, but uninspired by the appointment, however I can see the reasons why he was re-appointed, safe pair of hands etc.
but… if it doesn’t start well, with not all fans happy with the appointment the crowd could turn, hopefully not because he’s still got credit in the bank for me.
The only way it will work IMO. Is if he’s backed in the summer recruitment.
personally I wanted a complete fresh start with someone who hadn’t managed us previously but hey that’s just my view and doesn’t make me right.
