Anyone travelling down to Oxford, I need your help?

Good morning fellow Seasiders.

Just spoken to the ticket office this morning and the club coach is potentially going to be cancelled due to lack of numbers. Unfortunately that would’ve been my main mode of transport down there for this particular game due to my car being in for a service. Is there anyone going to Oxford that could perhaps spare a lift for a struggling Seasider. Would be more than happy to pay towards fuel costs. I was meeting a friend at the game who is already down south, so I wouldn’t want to miss out. Please let me know. Many thanks. Might Scrape A Draw!

Have you tried BSA?

I phoned up & the girl on the phone said due to lack of numbers the club were potentially cancelling the club coach. Only 7 so far.
In fairness, with that kind of PR campaign, they won't be getting many more customers...

Supporter: "Morning I'd like to book on the Club Coach Please"

BFC: "Are you sure about that, we might end up cancelling the coach las minute and leaving you in the lurch"

Supporter: "OK, No problem I'll look elsewhere"

When you put it like that. Seems ridiculous. We pay hundreds of pounds a year towards the running of the place. You’d think they’d give the fans that want to travel down the chance to, regardless of numbers. Just cut the losses.

Would it not make sense to work with BSA & if not enough for the official coach, try getting them on the BSA coach, they pick up at the Waterloo so not far from the ground.

Correct BSA never cancel coaches whatever the numbers, they take the hit and get it back on other journeys the club should do the same.

The club have form for this Jan 22 cancelled the coach to Hartlepool for our Fa Cup game because of numbers causing problems.

Should run them for every away game as they sell the tickets and fans would know that there is always travel.

This thread takes me back to the good old days of the mid to late 80s when I sometimes travelled with the Supporters Club, here's how the booking system worked.

Go to the Supporters Club on a Monday night only to be told Ozzies not in. Come back tomorrow .

Go to the Supporters Club the next night only to be told by Ozzie, Fuck off were full but if you want you can turn up on Saturday morning and if there's any pull outs your on. (Top PR there!!)

Turn up Saturday morning, get on. Happy Days. Next stop some random pub in the middle of nowhere that Ozzie knew on route to wherever the game was. 😆

Spoken to the club again this morning and they are telling me that the club cancelled due to numbers only being at 6.

I strongly advised them to speak to their media team regarding what has been put on Twitter.
