Here's your opportunity . Live and FREE which is refreshing . HRBFC v Eastbourne Borough
Just as well we can't. Otherwise, if we had lost then the doom merchants would be straight off Beachy Head!Gutted we can't go .. ties the FA Cup was made for!
Good post Ali_rrr. It's a real killer this season for the non-league clubs that get through to the main rounds of the Cup.Hi guys! I grew up watching the Borough when Brighton were away and still watch some of the games via streams. Funny that there's someone in Rotterdam on here @Rotterdam+Sussex_Seasider as I live in The Hague and grew up in Sussex.
The Borough this year are a bit different to how they've been in former years. It's been mainly battling relegation to the Ryman Premier for the last few seasons since being relegated from the Conference. It's been tough financially and Borough are losing money year on year so this would've been a huge pay day for the club. Hopefully it'll be on the TV to make some of that shortfall up.
This year everyone is a bit more optimistic. The signing of Chris Whelpdale and a few others have added much needed experience and talent. Currently finding ourselves 11th in the table, it's not the doom and gloom everyone predicted despite it being early on in the season.
FA cup runs have usually encountered banana skins, usually losing to lower opposition at home. Last time we reached the 1st round we were stuffed 7-0 by Braintree 4 years ago. The only time we've played a league team was Oxford in 2005, where we equalised through a penalty in the last minute but subsequently lost the replay. That game still lives long in the memory of Borough fans as Priory Lane was packed and rocking.
Again, it's a huge shame there's no supporters there. Blackpool fans would've been welcomed with open arms of which I'm sure would've been a great weekend for you guys.

Used to holiday there quite a lot as a youngster. My grandad used to live on Park Lane, not to far from Hampden Park and Willingdon Golf Club - he was a West Ham fan though!I was brought up in East Sussex and went to school in Eastbourne. The town actually has three clubs -- Borough, United and Town and I used to go and watch the Town if I had a free Saturday afternoon as their Saffrons ground, which they shared with the local cricket club and once a year Sussex CCC, was just across the road.
How I would have loved to be there next month
Why can I already see his name making headlinesThe signing of Chris Whelpdale
