I can't see past Keopka on that sort of form but it is a very tricky course. Hopefully Rose, McIlroy and Lowry can all put good final rounds together and challenge.Keopka playing so good and leading, I think he’s the winner
I love Hovlands outfit colour choice but he doesn’t pull the famous tangerine off at all. Ricky Fowler won’t be a happy bunny!PGA Championship, 2nd major of the year.
Justin Rose making a bit of a charge 2 off the lead with Mcllroy 5 off the lead.
I spend a lot of the time hoping the LIV guys fail.
Victor Hovland's got the tangerine trousers on again
Watch the last round tonight, it will be magic. The open is at Hoylake this year, definitely worth going, does get very busy though, practice days a bit quieterId rather watch paint dry
Great contribution to a topic.Id rather watch paint dry
Feel for you… I’m exiled at Ashton and Lea, I do like it though but obviously full of Nobbers!!!I love Hovlands outfit colour choice but he doesn’t pull the famous tangerine off at all. Ricky Fowler won’t be a happy bunny!
Big into golf myself and normally watch as much as possible, although I’ve been a little underwhelmed by it this year, maybe losing a few to the LIV comps has taken the sting out of it! Definitely taken the sting out of the game.
Playing is so much better, even if my home club is Preston! Which is an amazing course by the way!
Off to Close House today for two nights, now there is a golfing venue not to be missed!
UTMP
Good pick and got a great chanceTook Corey Connors at 14/1 after round 1. He had an absolute mare at the 17th but is still only 1 behind.
Tonight should be interesting.
Unless you ordered tickets months ago you unlikely get a ticket. Long gone are the cash turnstiles at the open.Watch the last round tonight, it will be magic. The open is at Hoylake this year, definitely worth going, does get very busy though, practice days a bit quieter
And it's poorer for it. I think they use the ballot to create a false demand. Hoylake is five mins walk for me so I'm there Friday and Sunday thoughUnless you ordered tickets months ago you unlikely get a ticket. Long gone are the cash turnstiles at the open.
I was at Hoylake when it came back in 2006 when Tiger won but I've long since given up going to the men's. I turned down a ticket for the Saturday this time last week and unless it comes to Lytham again won't be going again. Just too busy and expensive! Much prefer the womens and I was at Muirfield last year and hope to go to St Andrews next year. And it's poorer for it. I think they use the ballot to create a false demand. A few of us went to St Andrews last year. All entered the ballot for Hoylake with zero success. Gutted! Been to 3 at Lytham all POTG.Unless you ordered tickets months ago you unlikely get a ticket. Long gone are the cash turnstiles at the open.
Really, so you’re saying I couldn’t buy a day ticket for the Open.A few of us went to St Andrews last year. All entered the ballot for Hoylake with zero success. Gutted! Been to 3 at Lytham all POTG.
Only for the practice days or hospitalityReally, so you’re saying I couldn’t buy a day ticket for the Open.
I know quite a few lads at A& LFeel for you… I’m exiled at Ashton and Lea, I do like it though but obviously full of Nobbers!!!
I used to sneak into the Open through a gap in the fence behind Ansdell Institute. All on US soil thoCan you believe Koepka is going to be 5 times major winner - up there with the greats.
You say that but even Nicklaus and Tiger only won majors on US and UK soil. All on US soil tho

The weather and links golf is what makes the British Open the best and separates the men from the boys. The Masters is normally won by the best putter over the tournament.
The US open is normally won by the player who hits the most fairways over the tournament.
The USPGA is condensed to around 15 players as there's so many club pros in the como (well done Michael Block this year)
The Open is the most open (forgive the pun) of the 4 majors but is subsequently won by the player who not only beats the course and competitors but also the weather.
Will Koepka go on to win an Open?
He certainly has the game but open wins are completely different to target golf as they have in the states.
I certainly appreciate the challenge of links golf, although it's still often the 'big names' that come out on top. Take a look at the list of Major winners and golf fans won't find too many randoms in there. The weather and links golf is what makes the British Open the best and separates the men from the boys.
Bill Rogers, Todd Hamilton, Ben Curtis and Morikowa and Spieth were relatively unknowns when they wonI certainly appreciate the challenge of links golf, although it's still often the 'big names' that come out on top. True straighters and the 'big names' generally are mentally stronger, it’s the same as tennis the strong players across all surfaces dominate the game.I certainly appreciate the challenge of links golf, although it's still often the 'big names' that come out on top.
