Apathy

The worst part of last night's result was apathy. I have gone to bed in the past after a defeat unable to sleep I have been so annoyed. I have had weekends ruined by results. I have had days at work where I've not been able to concentrate because I am following every moment of what is happening on and off the pitch at BFC.

Today, I genuinely feel nothing. I went to bed, didn't think about it again, came in to work (very moving stuff about Steve Wright on R2) and it's only because I have AVFTT as my home page I was reminded about last night.

A word of warning to Simon Sadler - apathy breeds disinterest and the last 5 years goodwill and support will soon fade.

Absolutely bang on, I usually follow the match on our Twitter (X) feed, I just turned off and watched Silent Witness when the second went in last night.

I did wonder if it was an age thing but then I was on the edge of my seat when we played Forest.
Problem for me is that most of the time it's just dull.

Think there may be a massive shock to the owner with season ticket sales next season if we continue as we are. The football is just dull, you can get away with it to some degree if you're winning. The atmosphere in the ground has largely gone due to the uninspiring way we play. Sorry to bring Holloway into the conversation again, but I left Bloomfield Rd when he was in charge, win, lose or draw, thinking I enjoyed that.
That to me is what we are about, a passionate fan base who want something to get behind. Of course we'll lose games, but go down fighting and players giving it everything and the fans will accept defeat. That last night was just waving a white flag, gutless.
