What is it with some posters calling Appleton "Apples"

I know it's probably written as a term of endearment but it really really makes me cringe, the man is 46 years old and built like a brick sh*thouse not an 8 year old little girl with ponytails.

Is there any way on this forum for ignore a post when the term Apples is posted?
