Appleton not going anywhere

People need to understand that Appleton is not going to get sacked before the end of the season (at the earliest.) No matter how much people scream and shout we are going to see the season out with him.

The board now need to get some quality in and the fans need to get behind the team and put aside their frustrations and concerns with the manager (either real or imaginary). That is the only way we will avoid relegation.

I think that this extends beyond results on the pitch. He's spreading absolute zero positivity around the club, shows zero emotion and Blackpool fans historically attach themselves to managers that show a bit of emotion and passion.

He's drained the club in reality and that is in the hands of Simon and Ben. He should never have been appointed but it screams that we're doing the football side on the cheap at the moment while we build the infrastructure and they are happy to gamble with Championship status in the process.

We lost a generation of fans because of owners who did their best to ignore what happens on the pitch and we're now doing the same thing albeit with a far greater security of Simon Sadler and I'm not comparing the owners, just what is currently happening football wise in terms of transfers and managerial appointments. It's uninspiring and your generic fan is going to think about the here and now, not in 10 years time when we see the fruits of better infrastructure.

Yes he will

If the board doesn't back MA this window (has to be the definition of idiots overpaying because of previous mistakes), then they will be a serious target of fans, rather than the odd dissenting voice. SS will get included, like it or not that's how it will be.

Did you see Tony Mowbray today Kury? A more miserable manager than you could hope to see. Supporters shouldn't need the demeanour of a manager to lift them, they should want to lift the players, the manager just needs to be supported and results will improve, he wouldn't be any different if we were sitting at the top of the table. It really is down to the other reasons you have raised.

But we are behind the team, always have been.
I sometimes wonder where these comments come from.

I agree except he needs to talk more positively. Sound determined and hopeful and up for the fight.

Even if he stayed and was backed I'm not convinced he could turn it around. No matter who comes in he's likely to mis manage them and we still end up playing hoofball.
