Appleton v Critchley

Aside from the fact Critch is more amiable, in terms of tactics, performances and results there seems to be very little to differentiate between last season and this. I find this style of football incredibly boring to watch (pass, pass hoof) and coupled with the fact it's not even effective - fans will soon be voting with their feet.

We don't have the personnel to play 5 across the back, not helped by playing round pegs in square holes - who else thinks Connolly and CJ are wing backs? Lincoln are crap and we gifted them 3 points without them having to break sweat.

Unless something changes quickly in terms of tactics another relegation battle is on the cards.

Yes 2 players who featured heavily for Lincoln last season were not deemed good enough to be even squad players today for us.
We have gone backwards and it is not just through backpasses. Think Critchley's coaching credentials are due for a battering, and if he cannot turn us round he could end up non league, as his recent CV is falling rapidly

Maybe Saddler being a fan can't separate hard business from sentiment? Grayson was so bad. Appleton was not right and Critchley seems to be well out of his depth as his last couple of disastrous forays proved. Everybody but him it seems could see it. Everyone could see Dobbie was infinitely better a choice but Saddler just doesn't seem to listen. Yes he's been successful in his chosen field but not very good in the theatre of football.
