Apter gone

Good piece of business. National league has a lot of good teams and Scunthorpe should be pushing towards the top of that division - if he can get playing regularly, creating and scoring goals then he’ll be ready to step up to a top League 2 or a League 1 team later in the season as there’s not much between divisions. Peterborough have a habit of cherry picking non league gems so if Apter can perform it bodes very well for us
 
Unfortunately Keith Hill's Scunny are currently bottom of the National League but with Apter there feeding Joe Nuttall there can only he one outcome.
Promotion must surely beckon. 😃

I was going to say yesterday Insy, that a move to Altrincham would be good for the lad. Shame he’s gone to Scunthorpe.
 
No question he needs regular first team football. Hope he can put in some MoM performances and raise his profile. Maybe consider additional o’s and i. Roberto Aptiro, nailed on winner.🧐

I think the rules of youth loans mean that we can recall him at any time, which is the advantage of sending him to NL rather than L2.

Maybe, if he performs well, we can find him a club in L1 for the second half of the season.
 
He needs to be getting loans in the football league if he's going g to progress, he was at Chester last season, this is more of the same unfortunately. People asking for him to be included in a championship squad are deluded.

Chester is a league lower, I don't think there's that much of a difference between L2 and NL (Scunthorpe were L2 last season after all), this is a step up for four months, and leaves open the option of stepping up another level for the second half of the season.
 
I believe there werent any interested Lge 1 or 2 sides who were prepared to offer him a starting role so he wouldn't have been any better at those than staying with us.
He wants game time and experience in order to hopefully get a chance with a league club in another loan deal or back with us

Somebody finally said it!!!

If we signed a player from Chester our fans would be saying what the fuck is going on.
 
I hoped he'd have a squad place but at least the boy will be getting first team football and gaining more and more experience. He's a very good footballer.

Carey did a season at king's lynn in the Conference to regroup after being released by Norwich. Play football in the Conference. My mate said he was by far the best player to visit Edgeley Park that season. The King's Lynn manager rated him really highly.
 
Carey is a quality player, and he was getting that sharpness before the injury. He’s played so few minutes at Championship level, and yet clown fans question his ability.
