Regular Bamber Bridge report. Brig won 5-1 today against Gainsborough, both Ewan Bange and Rob Apter on the scoresheet. However Rob... Wow ! It may be Northern Premier League, but for an 18 yr old in men's football, he was yet again superb, played on the right until late on, then moved into the number 10 role ( way more suited to the right wing) he stood out a mile. Touch, vision, fearless for a 5ft 6 18 yr old. I think we might have a little diamond. He's on a deal to stay at Bamber Bridge for the season, as Critch apparently thinks he's not far off but wants to give him a year of men's football. The future hopefully will be bright and tangerine for him 👍👍

I did put a snippet on about this, based on twitter reports, but thanks for adding the detail.
I do hope to get down to The Brig sometime this season, BFC fixtures permitting.
I see Isaac, eldest son of Trevor, Sinclair was also on the scoresheet, again.
Yeah Isaac played really well today, he did on Tues too, he was there last year, and kind of flattered to deceive, but looks like a new player this year. Rob is different gravy though, reminded me a bit of Wes..

Great to hear. If Apter is performing so well at that level though, should we not look to get him out on loan at a League 2 club after Christmas? Even if he shines all season at Bamber Bridge, how much will we really know in relation to his ability to cut it at the level our first team are at?

Yeah we were discussing that after the game. There is always the possibility that he is recalled and then loaned out a level or two up.

Just watched the highlights from Saturday's game.
It was indeed an impressive performance from Rob Apter.
I don't think he's too far away from a place in the BFC first team squad.
Good to see Bange bulking up as well.
Excellent coverage from The Brig's media team.
Just in case anyone else is interested here's the link.

Blackpool connections....

From their website:

Jamie Milligan, John Hills, Ewan Bange, Rob Apter, Mark Yeates, Luke Higham and Macauley Wilson.

Isaac Sinclair, Cameron Gourley, Ryan White (all played for AFC Blackpool)

I'm too long in the tooth for greasy pole climbing and because I was never a golfer, mason or whatever means I'll stay a mere minion 🤣
Walt: If you manage to get to Bamber Bridge, please post your opinions on our two starlets and hopefully you'll be treated to the clubs hospitality. Thanks for appreciating the work joke - I worked with some right creeps!
