I can imagine him on Robot Wars, describing his robot. Built to wear down the opponent.Critchley likes Robots
Not sure about that. Apter might have been but Dobbie played Lyons at left back and dropped Thompson out of his 18 despite being available at the back end of last season. Somebody Lankshear? one of his dev squad lads might have got a go instead. You get the feeling that if Dobbie had got the job Thommo and Apter would have been regular starters. He is far more inclined to give younger players a chance.
He doesn't need much attacking threat if he has proper wingers infront of himI agree that Thompson has energy and enthusiasm, he's certainly unpredictible (good and bad), but his main weakness, IMO of course, is that he lacks a good enough attacking threat which he needs either as a FB or WB.
Very much not true in the modern game. I have had said in the past good teams are built around good FBs a system which of course we don't play. I suppose you might compensate for that by having wingers at WBs?He doesn't need much attacking threat if he has proper wingers infront of him
He has enough to play as either in the correct systemVery much not true in the modern game. I have had said in the past good teams are built around good FBs a system which of course we don't play. I suppose you might compensate for that by having wingers at WBs?

We'll just have to disagree on that or maybe you've just not seen him enough times in the flesh. He has enough to play as either in the correct system
Critchley to Plymouth. He did have an interview according to social media.I was really beginning to believe in reports from Twitter and other social media.
First Rhodes was recalled to Huddersfield for New Year’s Day fixture at Leicester.
An offer of 250K plus large sell on clause for Apter was offered and accepted from Tranmere.
What next?
I've seen enough of him to think that he could be a decent fullback or wingback if given a chanceWe'll just have to disagree on that or maybe you've just not seen him enough times in the flesh.
Don't get me wrong I'm not singling Dom out for any particular criticism its just I don't think he's quite there yet.
I'm not putting him on the transfer list.
He did, and scoredDid he play for Tranmere in the FA Cup?
He just wouldn't make my 1st choice 11 at the moment, even if we changed systems. One for the future still, hopefully.I’m agreeing with Phil on this one, I think Thommo is a good enough player to warrant selection and the more games he plays, the better he will get
Agreed, you’d think he’d be more exited about Rob returning having done so well.Having listenned to Critch's pre-match presser on TTV he didn't fill me full of confidence that we'll see Rob Apter in the squad 2nd half of the season. He can't of course go anywhere other than Tranmere.
Perhaps he'll run the ruler over him in January, and maybe send him back to Tranmere if that's the best option for everybody.Having listenned to Critch's pre-match presser on TTV he didn't fill me full of confidence that we'll see Rob Apter in the squad 2nd half of the season. Pretty sure it’s other way round. Anyway he wants outWrong.
The option is in the club’s favour not the player’s.
It's definitely in the club's favour and he won't be sold to Tranmere in any scenario. May come back to you on loan.Pretty sure it’s other way round. Anyway he wants out
You are incorrect - option is in the club's favour.Pretty sure it’s other way round. Anyway he wants out
Yeah but he’s still on his weaker foot and has to cut back. What about they swap sides Ollie style now & then. I can’t understand why you wouldn’t encourage that as a manager. It certainly would keep the opposition guessing.
Oh & leave someone like Dembele on the halfway line at corners.
