I take it the beef with the Grimsby lot there was because he played for Scunthorpe?

Not often the opposition fans recognise a player in the EFL 👍

What a crock he's just signed a new contract and ain't worth anything.
Playing for a side 17th in Lge 2 is hardly going to have a rush of buyers.

Exactly the correct thing to aide his development is staying with Tranmere not sat on the bench(if lucky enough) or playing with the development squad.
 
I imagine he was given an extended contract to get a fee for him in the summer
He is not in Critchley's plans like most of our younger players
He will be monitored by other clubs who may see the potential that the manager doesn't
At this stage in his career he needs first team football but not on loan
Next season either use him or sell him

I imagine we're trying to develop him as a player, and it's better for his development to be the star player at Tranmere instead of being a bit part player here.

Case in point was on 70mins on Saturday at 1-1 when we had no one to bring on to change the game. Could have done with Apter right then.

I think we signed him to an extension, because we rate him and want to keep him for a while.
 
Still think it was a mistake to send him back. Would have been a useful asset in the run in.
