Are we screwed without Rhodes

What do we think?
My main concern is how everyone has said that he has improved those around him as players and without him, will that confidence go?

So were Back on The Rhodes Again and hopefully this question wont cause a Rhodes Block about his future.
It's a Long And Winding Rhodes question.
If he goes back, he's going to end up being angry and a Thunder Rhodes.....
Most of the Huddersfield fans see him as Old Town Rhodes, so hopefully he will stay here and it's Rhodes To Nowhere

If he does go back, it's a Rhodes To Hell
But...If it is a Goodbye, yellow brick Rhodes, I for one will always see him as the King of the Rhodes
I want to look back on time here as The Bright Side Of The Rhodes.....

Hopefully it's not the End of the Rhodes....But a Take Me Home, Jordan Rhodes

i'll get me coat.....🏃‍♂️

You Rhodes your luck there

I don’t think Rhodes will be recalled especially to sit in the bench. Moore might even be sacked in the next few games results pending I’d say
Blackpool need to go all out and offer to sign him on a permanent deal

Losing Rhodes would be a blow, but not a devastating one if Joseph, Lavery, Kouassi & Beesley all stay fit. I think Joseph and Lavery could be a lethal partnership together.

They'd be stupid not to at least threaten to recall him, either to get an improved loan deal or a fee. Of course, they may want him as backup.
fcb - good point, although I think with some loan deals, the players choices are taken into consideration and I think JR likes being at Bloomers. When he scored his second goal against Carlisle he seemed to pat the badge, which in itself is a strange thing to do under his present tenure

Huddersfield will do what is best for their club and then the player himself. He is an absolute legend for them, so you'd like to think they'll do what is best. It may well be a small fee, a decent contract offer and we could see the deal made permanent. If they see him as surplus, having some funds and him off the wage bill may help with their January dealings. For Jordan it would give him a little more security at a club who are really appreciating him. Ultimately he knows he's in the twilight of his career, we have to hope he wants to play and have an impact as opposed to putting his feet up on the bench.

Losing Rhodes will be a blow but gives a chance for the others to step up and make a mark. Having a player like him around though means more to us than just goals.
His attitude his experience and knowledge are all important assets he can pass down to the young strikers.
The way he conducts himself personally and professionally is important. The young lads can learn a lot from him how to deal with pressure and setbacks etc.

Off the O/P only slightly, I think the impact he has had shows the need, even with a hungy young team, to have a couple of old heads around, and certainly on the pitch. Keogh fulfilled that role 2 seasons ago and improved our defence beyond measure.

I really hope he stays, but worry about his salary needs. He can go anywhere at our level with this season's goals tally

He's clearly had an effect on Beez for instance. Playing with much more confidence these days.

Hudds will probably at least threaten to recall him to try and get a bit of money for him before he leaves for free in the summer. Whether that is an improved loan fee from us, or we or another team try and sign him permanently for presumably at least 18 moths.

Hopefully we can keep him one way or another but I reckon he will be on a bit of wedge at Hudds.

I think he could be tempted to sign for us on an 18 month deal with a one year option.
If he stays until May he could be playing in the Championship next season with us rather than maybe in League One with Huddersfield.
That said, I do hope they stay up. I would really like to see QPR and the Wendies relegated. Just something about both clubs which riles me.
Unjustified arrogance probably covers it.

Yes, I can the lad seems quite happy to be here, probably because he's playing every game and scoring. However, a quick reminder of who pays his wages may focus him. Also, wages could well be a problem if we were to try for a perm. I've no idea, but I'd imagine he's on 20+k a week, could we afford that? Even if he's out of contract in summer, he'd fancy his chances of getting a decent contract (more than we could pay) elsewhere on the back of what he's done here.

I'd love us to sign him permanently, he's 2nd in the scoring charts in our division, we have no one else in the top 25. If we lose him, and let's face it, it's down to Huddersfield, with some possible input from the player himself. We have little or no say. Will we be screwed without him? Who knows? Certainly at the moment with Lavery and Kouassi injured and Joseph still seemingly on the road back to full fitness, I think we'd need another option if he gets recalled and we can't (or won't) sign him.

He's a Colossus.

Top top pro who has looked after himself and is a credit to himself and the game of football.
He would be a big loss to us because he can score all different types of goals with no fuss.
I like the look of Michael Mellon whose on loan at Morecambe from Burnley who looks a talented striker and of course his dad was a super player for us as well.

It's all Greek to me

Losing Rhodes will mean mid table unless we replace. Lavery is too injury prone, Joseph not really a goal scorer and Beesley and Kouassi are squad players.

Some town fans want him back as they think he's the answer to a relegation battle, but others don't believe he'll make a start and remain an impact sub..

Seems a waste if true
