So frustrating to listen to him. Tbf though it isn't really his fault , you know exactly what your getting with him and he's done nothing that wasn't expected or predictable. You can't hire a guy who you know won't play flair players or smaller more technical or attacking players and then be surprised when he doesn't play them
 
You used to look at Critch team sheet and ask why he’s dropped X after playing well the last game.

All I’ve done this whole season is read the team sheet and say “What the hell is that line up / formation”?

When your reaction is the latter you know it’s a one way ticket to gashdom.

3 full backs in the line up and 2 on the bench today. 4 if you class Connolly as a full back?

Sorry, but if team selection isn't his fault, who's is it?
 
It beggars belief to question the quality when he insists on picking Maxwell and has our players with footballing ability consistently on the bench - Bowler, Poveda, Patino etc. He’s a dinosaur who is clueless. Please get rid now and appoint Dobbie. It will be tragic when we go down as the team spirit is excellent and we certainly have enough Championship players at the club.
 
The only quality in the team is the loan players and they were all sat warming the bench.

MM’s like a stubborn mule who wants to go his own way.

I just checked back on the goals and McCarthy was talking absolute horseshite about the wall not doing its job. Keshi was on the left and the ball went a good foot to the left of his head. Unless he's been doing neck expansion training in his period off he has no chance of reaching it. If Maxwell was gambling everything on the ball going to the right there should have been another player to the left of him, simple as that. Yet another misjudgement, so amateurish.

Agreed, he has to set the wall to cover that ball not going around the outside and set himself to cover anything that he sees direct.

The last two managers have insisted on playing Flappy over Grimmy, I insist they're both wrong.

I noticed when Keshi joined the wall he was stood at least a foot further over to the left, but was moved across by Maxwell. A goal on that side is unforgivable whether it's the wall splitting or even worse, going round the side of it.

I think Whiteman completely hoodwinked Maxwell into thinking he was crossing it.

By the time he realises it’s too late.

Not sure why he was shouting at the wall though .

Looked a bit shaky all afternoon, surprised he’s kept Grimshaw out for so long.

Defensive disorganisation which we have suffered from all season. Whether set plays or open play we have not been good at the basics in defence.
