Pretty sure we do not have the facility to mount a counter invasion anymore, but Stanley can take fast jets, theatre game changer.

Pretty sure we do, with two massive aircraft carriers. If needed, the Yanks could fill them up with F35s if Biden allowed (?). But as you say, the larger Mount Pleasant airport can take troop transport airliners.

In fact, I would not be surprised to see us carry out a few sabre-rattling military exercises in the next few months - it’s summer in the southern hemisphere.

He also wants to privatise every function possible, the brown envelope routine will make Redknapp look amateurish, but of course its all to do with Make Argentina Great Again!
 
140% inflation, cutting ties with China, their biggest importer of food, It makes our lot, whichever side, look normal!

Massive ‘Dead Cat’ opportunity for the Government I would think, except the cat might actually be stirring again.
 
If he’s true to his word that the Islanders must have a say in there future, then unless he’s planning to send boat loads of ‘settlers’ over shouldn’t be a problem
 
Argentina can only realistically take the Falklands by bribing the locals and I don't think that is particularly realistic.
There won't be any kind of military conflict down there any time soon, Englebert Humperdinck has said as much himself.
Nice opportunity for Sunak to do a bit of sabre rattling though if he thinks it might get him a few votes.

Didn't think it would take him long!
I know the days of warrior Kings are long gone but the thought of Sunak rousing the troops and leading them into battle is laughable but he'd be happy to send other people's family if was politically profitable for him and his party.

Always been the way, politicians make war, then send troops in to fight it.

It’s a country which has suffered mega inflation regularly for 40 years; its infrastructure has dilapidated but has huge natural resources. A grossly mis managed nation but nobody ever mentions the work ethic which is fantastic as it barely exists
