This is the police interview of Dr Heiko Khoo who was arrested at Hyde Park for playing the Benny Hill theme tune during a gathering at Hyde Park.

Very worrying times we are being forced into - things are getting out of control.

We are blindly getting beaten into submission.

Are you suggesting he was arrested BECAUSE the music he played was the Benny Hill theme, or that he was arrested for playing music that just happened to be the Benny Hill theme?

I did bother watching the video, which is why I posed the question.
It doesn’t actually say why he was arrested (unless I missed something), but the line of questioning suggests at least one of the reasons was for playing amplified music. Your headline (as well as the video title) suggests he was arrested because the music was the Benny Hill theme, which is obviously bollocks, but a common tactic for conspiracy nuts.
Not suggesting your a conspiracy nut, BTW.

I may well be and it probably comes with advanced ageing 🤣 but at that time I do remember watching a video on a reputable news website showing London police in full riot gear forcefully moving on people and families sat peacefully in small groups.

The video shocked me at the time as there was no apparent reason for these strong arm tactics.

This video was taken down very quickly, make of that what you wish 😲

The kind of Police ‘tactics’ that the bloke describes in his interview are common practice when dealing with peaceful protest.

It sounds like he was trying to just inject a bit of humour into the situation. Unfortunately the Police don’t do humour.

I have absolutely no argument about the tactics and methods of the police, I was just having a bit of a dig about the title of the video.
Too many people read something like that and believe it.
Apart from that, all’s good.

If he had played the Darth Vader music from star wars or something similar would they have arrested him?
I'm a bit surprised they don't play their own militaristic music when they go into storm trooper mode.
Let's be honest we have seen it at football, they love it when they can put a special outfit on and get heavy handed! (Doesn't apply to all coppers there are some brave and decent members of the police.)

I agree X3. The Police don't help themselves either. Senior officers come up with the strategies and plods implement it - often, badly.
