Grimmy should have never lost the shirt when he came in for Maxwell during his injury - Maxwell has made some world class saves , but he doesn’t half flap a lot !!! Can’t see Grimmy sticking around for long

He's become this season's scapegoat and I feel really sorry for him. If we were 3 nil up before conceding every week we wouldn't even notice.

You are right he did start to come then realised he wouldn't get anywhere near, Nelson was out jumped. Oh well it's been a most frustrating & fragmented season, that has never really got going at all.

He had time to position himself to get something on the ball but he just stood on his line as he always does, I agree the other two goals were due to our usual shambolic defence.

When a player (any player) is guilty of committing howler after howler after howler, I think you'll find it customary for fans at football matches to register their anger and frustration with the culprit, sometimes by shouting nasty, hurtful things at them. I blame the parents...

Mostly true, but he didn't stay on his line, he started to go and then stopped! That's why the looping header dropped into an empty net.
There's no way the header would have beaten any keeper if they were in the middle of the goal.
 
He’s this years scapegoat I can tell you at least ten other shithouses this season and he’s not one of em but as normal Blackpool fans don’t like him so he’s the main fall out guy well done to those who chanted his name in support he needs it ffs

Them Westies are an argumentative bunch I agree. It was all sweetness and light down at the front of the North. The anti Maxwell stuff started from the back
 
At least it was only a chant. I’m surprised they didn’t run on the pitch. The players all deserve criticism and should all be put on the transfer list.

Bollocks again, does any other player in that wanky defence come in for the same criticism despite mistake after not challenging, not tracking, not watching behind, not clearing mistake?

Grimshaw is lucky he's not playing, if he had it'd be 'get Grimshaw out, he's shit', because Lev Yashin would look crap in this team.

I think it's because goalies are in a different colour so easier for the hard of thinking to identify.
 
people are quick to forget how much he has done for our club. He’s certainly saved more goals than he’s cost us. What if Grimshaw comes in and is shit who will you all blame them? Does seem a shame he will probably leave in the summer after all he’s done for us with bad feelings towards us as club because of the constant abuse he gets
 
Don't think he's good enough for this league but he's still been a great servant, class act and on the balance of his time here the third best keeper we've had in my lifetime after Gilks and Banks. Feel sorry for him but Chris Maxwell is not the reason we're incapable of winning a game.

Some of the goals have gone straight through Maxwell, some terrible mistakes, he's been letting goals in from corners he should have stopped, he doesn't command his area. His kicking is suspect.

Grimmy had a bad spell but also when playing well looked a level above Maxwell.

He's faster, punches crosses, comes off his line more and quicker, better reflexes, better kicker.

Not to say he won't make mistakes or is even perfect, but he's the best keeper we've got, stats back this up too.

Even if its marginal gains in areas, that might have been the difference in a lot of tight games we lost.
