Years ago ( early 70’s) once went there training with my brother who thought he might get signed on.
My office was based in Manchester so was living in Ashton with him and my Mum.
Didn’t plan on going so had my usual evening meal when he suggested I go along for company.
Left my mark by throwing up after sessions of sprints at one end of the pitch.After that day I never ever ate before any kind of sport especially football
