Aston Villa, the next Leicester City ?

Like Leicester they’ve a chance if they don’t get injuries. The ‘big 6’ have 3 players of serious talent for each position and it’s their expensive squad depth that wins them leagues normally.

I wouldn't say Villa are a Leicester at all.

Villa have spent more on one player than the entire Leicester team was worth. Villa got into Europe last season finishing top 7 while Leicester avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth the season before

Villa are doing surprisingly well but it's nowhere near a 'Leicester' if they do win it
 
No. Leicester were brilliant that season and just had something. Villa will fade and probably won't even make the 5th champions league position IMO. Emery is doing a great job though.
 
Didn’t some Leicester fan have a bet on at 5,000/1 and won?

Pretty sure Villa weren’t anywhere near those odds at the start of the season.
 
Would be nice if they did win it, would much rather it them than Manchester City, Arsenal or Liverpool. However, at the end of the day I don’t overly care who wins the greed league.
 
Villa have improved dramatically under “Emery” and I find them good to watch.
Might be good to have a Premiership winner NOT from London, Manchester or Liverpool.
 
The light year difference in the Villa team in 12 months tells us all we need to know about Stevie G's management prowess! And Critch's coaching skills tbf. It was a big leap for him. A leap too far too soon.
 
Man City will go on a run of wins again that the others won't be able to keep up with. I'm sure they have a bit of a dip around this time of year on purpose just to keep themselves entertained.

If Villa are a copy of anyone they're Newcastle from last season whilst trying to do what West Ham did in the European LDV Vans Trophy. At some point their squad strength and consistency will be tested.
 
a maverick manager like the Leicester fella always possible but still highly unlikely
