Attacking players

Cosgrovr from Birmingham now heavily linked with Charlton
That's disappointing to hear. We urgently need at least an attacking midfielder and a big mobile target man. I was hoping for good news on Moxon and Cosgrove.

If we don't get someone in during this transfer window, it might be worth moving Marv up front and Pennington replacing him at the back, especially as Casey has defended well since he got his chance.

It would also stop another 20 threads on "Marv the ball player".😁.

He's been a striker before, and his goal v Middlesbrough showed he can turn well in the box. It's a bit of a last resort of course, unless that van pulls up outside the ground pretty soon.

The games we’ve played so far this season have shown us where we need quality. Out wide, up front and in attacking midfield. We must surely have our targets. This is an absolutely horrific division, Sadler needs to put his hand in his pocket and we will have a successful season. As of right now we’re upper midtable at best as I predicted

Out:
Bowler
Yates
Madine
Anderson
Poveda (loan)
Rogers (loan)

In:
Joseph

Clear to see what the issue is. We’re now very solid at the back but completely toothless in the final third which is an issue only Sadler can solve. This division is absolutely dogshit, just have a bit of a go!
Bottom line we never replaced Embleton who was always driving forward creating the space which is one of the problems with the current formation

We definitely need to replace Yates and Madine. If that doesn't happen, expect the way Critchley has us set up at the now

Marv to play upfront until we get a decent striker or two in is not a bad idea

Sadly I think the pocket's empty ! That's not meant to be critical of him, just a fact.

Good point. We don't seem to have a player(s) that runs at a defence. On that point why on earth can't Marv see that when there is a gap a mile wide in front of him he needs sometimes to run into it and at least draw an opposition player and create a bit more space for his team mates. I've got to say I see a team that does not like to current set up.It's robotic and over-coached. Nothings off the cuff/different.

If it’s empty, I’d like to know why. Our incomings even incl wages don’t add up to the money received for Bowler and Yates plus the Critch compo money from last summer.

I feel exactly the same but there hasn't been much spent on bringing really decent players into the club yet. Do we see that changing ?

We. Need. Wing. Backs. Yes a bit more upfront but you can't play 3-5-2 without wing backs of which we have one.

We need strikers who know where the goal is and creative players to provide opportunities. Mostly though, we need the manager to drop the hoof tactic.

Clearly need some more attacking options. Yesterday when we needed a goal we turned to Virtue. Don’t see the point in Owen Dale being on the bench. We’ve needed a goal in the last two games and he hasn’t been brought on so what’s the point?

Perhaps it is because we are losing £8m this year in TV revenue alone. Those don','t even add up to that.
