So it already looks like it'll be an India v Australia final. Perennial chokers South Africa are at it again and already have their captain and best batsmen back in the hutch.

Maybe a tad early to be writing SA off, isn't the fun of the game not knowing what might happen, who might rise to the challenge, etc?
 
Wicket looks almost unplayable. Hugely disappointing for a WC semi final. The Indian authorities certainly wouldn't have laid this dog out for their own team.

It's almost like the ICC don't want any batsmen getting any sort of form. Australia have bowled very well on a pitch that is offering swing. As much as I loathe them, they really have to the fore this tournament after a rocky start.
 
Australia in cricket are like the Germans used to be in football.
Bit meh in qualifying but when it comes to the crunch they turn it on!!

SA are loaded with big hitters and free scoring batsmen. To average 1.8 runs per over for 10 overs says more about the dreadful wicket than it does the Saffers choking.
 
Let's see how it plays out from here. There's loads in the pitch and it perfectly suits the Aussie quicks, who have also bowled really well. Complete opposite to yesterday's track.

But it will also suit the Saffer quicks IF they can post some sort of total.
 
Stick a fork in South Africa, they are done. I have to say the fielding from the Aussies has been top class, they've throttled the life out of the SA top order. It'll take an almighty performance to rescue a decent total from here.

They will be lucky to make 70 on this track.
 
Put that taxi on hold, Aussies now 7 down! I still think they'll get the remaining 20 runs but the South Africans have put up a real fight.
 
Just thinking about this Aussie team. Their squad must be of a similar average aged to ours. The difference is that every one of them to a man is a huge competitor who plays for the shirt. I have no doubt that England would have capitulated to this SA onslaught on that pitch. The Aussies have ground it out.

They've done an article on average ages of squads on sky and they found that there's not a lot between any of them!!

It works out similar when you consider squad members but then again it shows that our lads just were not up for the battle. Paid way too much with central contracts. Jolly boys.
