Back or sack the manager Poll

Should Critchley be removed now or given to the end of the season?

No option to keep him as a coach and employ a new manager?
because it's a ridiculous idea. There is no way Sadler or Critchley would entertain that. Yesterday was on the players, we went 0-1 up and we got sloppy. I blame Norburn for not stepping up and setting an example but he seemed more intent in winding up the referee.

The problem with this fan base, or perhaps more specifically this message board, the fans are so reactionary to each and every result it’s unbelievable.

4-0 away from home against Portsmouth and we’re going up in the automatics.

2-1 away from home against Cambridge and we need to get rid of the manager.

Where’s the middle ground? We’re doing ‘Ok’ at the moment, some great performances mixed in with some weak away results. There’s a general lack of consistency at the moment but ultimately we’re coming back from a disastrous season with a lot of positives. I believe we will get promoted within the next two years if we carry on with Critch.
Exactly … sums it up… a lot of football fans are reactionary cockwombles

Consistency is key to success. The present regime, unfortunately, will tend to habitually deliver the opposite of that.

👍 Probably one of the most balanced posts I’ve read since yesterday. Players & manager need to learn from defeats… so do we.

Trouble is if we give him another two years and we keep spending we are going to get slapped with a points deduction and spend what will seem like forever in this awful division I certainly wouldn’t give him anymore money in January I’d tell him to crack on with what he’s got

It was always the players under Worthington

Didn't like any of the options tbh.
I would stick with Critch but am not sure he will deliver.
However, mid-season when we certainly aren't going to go down would be a ridiculous time to get rid.

So you’ve ruled out sacking him and don’t think he will deliver?
Guess then it’s the other option? 😉

We seem to have some fans who love to spend the clubs money, make board decisions without having a ** clue what day it is, never mind how complex running a football club/business is. We really do have have a bunch of self righteous bellends who are never happy!
we lost on Saturday after a good run and because of that Critch has to go? Yeah, great idea.

Not even in my thoughts.I’m relatively happy with what I’m seeing every week. We’re in and around the top six.

I must admit it was only a couple of weeks ago with the back to back wins and the formation he had found with Dembele in front of Dougall that I thought it was that moment everything had clicked. It’s clearly not that time yet but it’s coming.

We are one of if not the best team in this league. We should be getting promoted no excuses. That’s not billy big bollocks talk it’s just telling it as it is.For us not to get promoted this season would be a huge failure. We are around things, nicely positioned with so much time to go.I like us there it means we haven’t shot our load too soon. There is more improvement to come and when things click in a few weeks everybody is going to see how good we are at this level.

But we aren’t close to the top six. If sixth place Bolton win their games in hand we will be ten points behind. Miles off it.

He should stay put for now - but in the world today - snooze you lose.
If we drop to bottom half - then time for action.
Cut your losses and go and get a decent manager... Tony Mowbray is available and plays good football with the bloody youth players not his scouse favourites.

Villa? Much higher level #2/coach, that went well. And don’t quote Gerrard sacking, if Critchley was any good at that level he would have been kept on.
How often does that actually happen Albert? Rarely does the number 2 stay on when the manager is sacked and a new one is coming in with their own number 2

Only seems to happen when they are promoted to caretaker manager and in Villas case they had Emery in straight away.

I’m not suggesting he would be kept on as #2. What I was intimating was if he’s such a good and sought after coach, they would have found a role for him in their coaching set up. Much cheaper than paying him off.

Interesting this poll was 10 days ago supporting him and now today's polls say sack him.
KOKO was right about one thing - all football fans really care about is results.
