Back Pass Husband

I can see why he went back a couple of times as we had everyone up the pitch at 2-0 up and had they have broken it’s a different game.

I noticed today that we back pass to open up/stretch the game. Their attackers come toward us and leave achres of space in behind for us to punt it forwards. Great tactic, worked very well today. Lulls the opposition into thinking we're shitting it, only to whack them on break.

Agree with that except today we weren't punting it as much. The back four/maxi were finding Dougall and Keshi in little pockets regularly and we were building from there. 👍

He's doing exactly what Critch asks of him, same as Keogh, he's not perfect but has ironed out some of his edges and I like his efforts

Not denying he hasn't achieved anything Tim ( where have I actually said to the contrary?), but he's done so by being albeit a hardworking player with no skill set, very little ability and not one ounce of creativity. He's been truly abysmal for England but somehow has been an integral part of the successful Scousers team. That I put down to Klopps genius, as Im sure he wouldn't get a game for any of the Top 4.

Haven't ever seen any team in the last 5-6 years show interest in him.

Not going to slate anyone who rates him but
Some people are thick and get some sort of buzz out of slagging off our players

Guy behind me spent all the first half baiting Hubby Looked like he’d never kicked a ball in his life

Thankfully he stopped when we

Clearly you know nothing about football
Imagine you may be used to low league football from decades ago and that's okay, no need to name call though.

Husband continously gets the ball in high up positions and chooses to go back to the keeper because he lacks the technical ability on the ball.

You surely can't say Sterling or Reece James aren't better.

Lot of people on here let their own love of a player blind them from a bad game, you'd think from this board Yates has scored 30 goals this season.

Sterling isn't our player so it's irrelevant and whilst James delivers a better ball than Husband, he gets knocked off the ball with ease of someone blowing a dandelion clock.

So no, I don't think he's better.

Haha great side step from Sterling being obviously better.

Solid unfussy defender. Not really a modern full back but doing a good job.

Adequate job which is OK but you're delusional if you think he's a top championship left back.
Well if you can point to where I said that in my post I’ll agree. Otherwise it seems you are just being a touch confrontational for no reason.

Jurgen Klopp said, "If anybody who is with us still doesn’t see the quality of Jordan Henderson, then I cannot help them." And: "Hendo is essential to all the things we’ve achieved in the last three years. He has no point to prove."

Back to Hubby, IMO ability wise, he's decent but not spectacular, but much more importantly, his attitude is utterly fantastic, much like Connolly, and many others in this blackpool squad. I was thinking it second half as brum crumbled. They needed some of Husband's qualities, and you cant teach that.

The Klopp quote ive already intimated Hillsy

Maxwell's distribution is generally excellent and unlike Hurband he can hit either side usually.

Last season some people on here were saying we’d never get out of league one with Turton at right back. Not only did we get promoted with him in the side, he’s now playing regularly for a top Championship team.
I’d put Husband in the same bracket, if not slightly better. Some of our ‘supporters’ don’t seem to recognise the quality many of our players have and are all too quick to point out their weaknesses and jump on any mistake or poor performance.
When will they ever learn?
