Their goal scorer on Saturday Jayson Molumby has a groin issue and took a painkilling injection to overcome ankle pain (so hopefully the weekend will have knackered him!) and striker Daryl Dike was injured and highly unlikely to figure. Two big players for them by all accounts.

We'll obviously take any opposition clubs misfortune but our focus needs to be on playing a whole lot better than we did at the weekend. Not that performances are the most important thing, it's quite simply another cup final. After Cardiff I had given up all hope, I still think we are 90% relegated. Winning back-to-back games hasn't exactly been our strength so if we do manage to take 3pts tomorrow night, I'll up our survival chances to 20%, if other results drop for us again.

The stats worry me, to only have 37% possession against Wigan at home is worrying and better teams will punish you with so much of the ball.
Agree to an extent because our midfield was poor, and it can indicate how comfortable and composed a team is on the ball. However we had 62% possession against Cardiff and got comfortably beat. So we can dominate possession, I think the concerning thing is we seem to retreat into our shells when we take the lead - happened at Luton too and they were good enough to capitalise, whereas Wigan weren't.

My instinct says that the planning is now going well. It's when we're under pressure on the pitch that it gets ignored. "Don't panic Mr Dobbie, don't panic!"

If Dike is out that is a massive bonus for us

Wigan’s possession figures were inflated by their back 4 , thinking they were City , but played more like a non league club.
Exactly. Their possession areas would be of more interest, because the majority was to and fro between the centre halves.
