Ballard was Happy

Celebrated that winning goal against us as much as winning promotion with us! 🤷‍♂️

OK I know some will say "so what" or "it's the club that are paying his wages" and so on.

Personally I was disappointed, there used to be a thing called respect towards your old team mates and fans that supported you so much.
So did Matt Phillips when he scored against Pool at Bloomfield Rd. He practically jumped into the crowd.

So what.

Hes happy for his team mates. He owes us nothing, we owe him nothing. He's played for us, moved on and good luck to him.

I dont understand why people get upset about a former player celebrating against us. I'm sure he will tell people of his fondness of playing here in years to come.

Hes not our player and is entitled to do what he wants. What do you want him to do, stand there like a mute? Walk off the pitch?

Stop crying over it!

You are a charmer.

You are a charmer.
Why because I pointed out that you're a bit of a wet lettuce?

Andros Townsend has played for about 13 clubs. Does he need to take his diary on the pitch with him so he can remind himself of who not to celebrate a goal against, just so he doesn't upset people like you?

I bet you were one of the wet wipes who cried when Grayson dared celebrate a winner against us for the nobbers?

Millwall players celebrating the win like they'd just won the FA cup says it all about who were the best team on the day!
They were celebrating their first win of the season and getting away from the bottom, just as we would. If I were a Millwall fan and they didn’t, I would want to know why.

Hope that’s not the story of our season. Played well. Deserved more. Shîte ref (again). We need to toughen up and grind out points and win ugly if we have to. Ballard understands what it takes to win, because he’s got that kind of mentality
We did that last week and we did it today as well, most of the game with ten men today. There's plenty of fight and resilience in this side.

Maybe it'll bring it home to some of the supporters on here as soon as they've gone that's that.
Itll be exactly the same with Embleton, Simms and others that have been here and are not now.
Its a job to them, it's a passion to us and therein lies the
I once on tv highlights saw a player miss an open goal against his home town team that he once played for and that he supported as a boy. Really incredible miss you could see him blushing. His family were also supporters of this team. This team needed a draw to avoid being relegated. They came back after the miss from 0-2 down to draw 2-2 and ultimately stay up. I could be wrong but it seemed like a deliberate miss.

Like I said Trammo, the player who missed was a supporter he had a passion for that team.
If the chance had fallen to another player they probably score.

I can't be doing with all this holding your hands up and don't come near me when you score against your old team. If Ballard celebrated the goal with his team mates then no hard feelings from me. I remember David Eyres giving a cheeky glance and smile at the South Paddock scoring against us once. It's what it's all about.

Then there's Trev who wouldn't celebrate when he scored against us for Cardiff, he's an actual fan though to be fair

Eyres loved it when he scored for Burnley v us in front of the South. No problem with it, he ran to the 6 fingers fans and got lauded whilst laughing at the South.

Plenty have done it and plenty will in the future.

Not even got a problem with Melon doing what he did at Burnley. If you're gonna give shit for 90 minutes then expect it back if said player scores.

Part of the game

I always liked Ballard during his time with us, he was excellent for us.
No problem with him celebrating with his team mates as many have said, he wasn't even our player, just a loanee I suppose.

The only thing that got me a little was the way he went down like a sack of spuds to win the dodgy free kick from which they equalised. I can remember him giving away a few soft/unnecessary free kicks when he played for us but not winning them like that, he must have been taught that nack in that there London

I think comparing it to celebrating promotion with us is over exaggerated 🍊

Balllard joining Millwall looks like a step backwards, I think his stock will be worth less after this season when we finish above them. So good luck to the lad it was probably his decision to join the lions but it's going to be a long hard season for him with regrets.

Absolute dossy little wanker if you ask me. My only hope is that his parent club are finally relegated this year as they deserve to be.

I gave him no respect at all - he looked very very average when compared to say Marvin E - and he plays in a team that are punching way above their stuff

That was the story of the start of last season and looking like it's the same this season. Despite the fact I'm worried by that I still have faith we'll fix it like we did last year
