BANNING ORDERS WTF??

CLUB STATEMENT
Dear Supporter,

While the vast majority of you have played your part in making Bloomfield Road the best atmosphere in the Championship this season, a small minority have been causing a growing amount of disorder in blocks A and B in the North Stand.

The level of disorder began in the Cardiff and Coventry games with the occasional missile being thrown at the Players of the away teams. The behaviour and missile throwing escalated at the end of the Fulham game when away supporters were exiting via the northern end of the East Stand onto Field Street. The situation deteriorated to another level on Saturday against Barnsley where a significant number of missiles and coins were thrown towards the Barnsley supporters and 7 pyrotechnics were also thrown inside the Stadium. Two Barnsley fans required medical treatment after the game.

We have been able to identify two individuals already from the Barnsley game and both will be immediately banned for 3 years. We also believe we have identified another individual from the Middlesbrough game and they will also be banned for 3 years. The Club should and must take a zero tolerance approach to the minority that are causing these issues.

Please can I ask all of you to help us stop this disorder now and specifically to refrain from throwing missiles and to stop congregating at the front of the North Stand during and after games.

If anyone has any information about those causing the disorder then please contact Lancashire Police on 101.

Let’s make sure that the Club and Bloomfield Road be known for making the best possible atmosphere in the Championship.

Thank you for your support again and your anticipated cooperation.

Cheers. Aye I know about the club statement and two being identified etc.

The o/p though says about hearing from a mate about some people being banned. Yet then goes on to mention that statement. Maybe I misread the o/p (which wouldn't be a surprise, being an old git) but if they heard from a mate, whilst also mentioning the statement, I took it that they were stating there was more.

Five pages... I haven't checked back today, but has there as yet been any proof of these bans? Other than hearing it from a mate about some others....

Good point Bispham.

I just came on here and after reading things decided that a few young lads had been banned for slinging flares or missiles of some sort.

Is that not how everybody gets there information ?

Did you also know that the Yanks haven't been to the moon, 9/11 was an inside job and that the original Paul McCartney was killed in a road traffic accident several years ago and replaced by another chap called Billy ?

I posted on FB that this was a major over reaction and the representatives of the supporters clubs signing this I think need to take a look at themselves. Yes, seek sanctions for gross misconduct but this seems a totally over exaggerated response

Not as far as I can tell.

It’s almost as if someone made up a 3 year ban in the hope of causing mischief.

If so then they are “A Little Monkey.”

I don’t agree with the banning orders, a little OTT in my opinion, however I do think chucking stuff on the pitch is ** stupid and pointless. Just send the bizzies round to give them a slap on the wrist and a warning.
That’s like saying I love the Police whatever they do (with handcuffs) !

As far as I'm aware our fans behaved well today and still managed to make as much noise as ever. The North showed they can create an electric atmosphere without resorting the nonsense that threatens to land our club in trouble. I do think the bans had a detterent affect and made people think about their behaviour.

Having said that, 3 years is harsh especially when those identified probably weren't aware such severe bans would be imposed for something relatively trivial like chucking a plastic bottle. I do think the club could've been a little more lenient and just banned them for the season, publicised the bans and made clear that in future there would be minimum 3 year bans for any projectile and more for pyrotechnics.

This would have the same detterent affect without resorting to what many here consider an over the top punishment.

No You are totally wrong, most of the original muckers (of which most must be well I to their 50s/60s) I understand were about when the troubles in football (in the 60s 70s) was at its peak ,but it's now 2021 ,and it's should be up to them to stop their little princes ,doing things that could cause injury to some one !read the post correctly ,then make your own mind up !(have the utmost respect for the way they conducted their self in helping ,note I said helping )get rid off the scum ,end of rant ,by the way how old are you ,im71😁.
Absolute nonsense you are so far our there, but I won't get into it with you. Rammy, Bennys, Bisons, Muckers..

You still don't get it.
The severity of the ban is a result of numerous warnings being issued which only seemed to have made things worse.
Look what happened yesterday? nothing, so the punishment has finally made people listen.
That's why the punishment had to be so severer.

Like have said in a couple of previous posts is what you have to do is keep the place bouncing for a few games with no incidents.
Then go and appeal the bans with a guarantee of no more incidents and I am sure they will listen.
You as a group are the 12th man on match days and you are also in my 50+ years of attending games the best fans for noise and intensity in the world.

Well now they can spend the next 3 years cultivating their cricket club atmosphere at Old Trafford. Look forward to seeing how the cricket world copes with the flares and bottle throwing.
BTW do we know they are just 18 year olds who need a bit of guidance or are they the yobs who run around their estates terrorising the neighbourhood and shopkeepers and kicking off down the prom and generally giving the town of Blackpool a bad name as well as the club
"Just 18 year olds" are legally adults.

West Ham last night was ugly and was shown live on TV
Similar stuff, things getting thrown, some pavement dancing and a few punches thrown.
The layout of the stadium is similar to Blackpool (but on a much bigger scale) and the conflict was all in the corner where the segregated fans were next to each other.

Does that make it right?

Really, and at the end of the day....99% of supporters are like me, I guess!!
Passionate about the team, passionate about the club, and just want to see success....
We all know what size club we are and we all want to see it grow, and succeed.
This is what I personally believe that Simon Saddler wants too.
They say that business men are only interested in making money....good, I say, as long as it benefits everyone, the club, the supporters, and ultimately Simon himself...and there's nothing wrong in that....
Where a problem lies is with these people who think they somehow represent the club by doing stupid, aggressive and downright irresponsible things.
They don't, they don't represent me, they don't represent the club, and I don't believe they represent you, the true supporters of our famous football club...

Good riddance to them ..UTMP

I am afraid I do get it. I also don't think I am going to get run over when I cross a road. Don't patronise.
