Was rumoured to be on 15k a week at the Nobbers, Bannan supposedly on 20/27k a week at the massive so no chance with either, move on.

It's a shame he wasn't a youth when Critchley arrived, he may well have had a more distinguished career with Critchley's coaching.
It was a stupid decision when he was allowed to leave and he was treated badly by the club - he has been a fairly solid championship player and we let him leave for nothing.
However I don't think we should revisit this one. We should focus on developing youth.

The lad is a piss taking nobber who had nothing better to do than wind up Blackpool fans on Twitter.

Pass……
On twitter he congratulated Morecambe on their promotion he was asked why he didn't do the same when Pool got promoted that same week. He said why what did they do for me?
I don't blame him one bit the way Koko treated him offering less than the minimum wage after he'd become a regular.
His family are Pool through and through, he wouldn't kiss the Nobber badge cos he said his mum wouldn't let him back in the house.
At 28 he should be at his peak and if terms are right is definitely worth a chance. Some crap on here when we signed Keogh last season. I said at the time he would be a great influence and would probably end up captain but got shot down for saying it.

Not for me , yes we let him go , but the only club that wanted him was Morecambe, who at the time were at the bottom of the league 2 pile . Done ok since then , but he shouldn't have been so confrontational with us on social media.

Not quite what he said, it was more pretending he didnt even know we'd gone up:

Always found the reaction to that tweet a bit over the top to be honest, he could have just not replied but it was an easy tweet to get the Nobbers on side

Oyston treated some fans a WHOLE lot worse than poor old Tom yet they're not holding it against the club are they?

He just comes across as a knob to be honest.

Absolutely no from me.

And he does not fit the profile of player we are looking for so can't see the club saying yes.

No I didn’t mean that, just in my opinion he’ll have offers from the Championship. I don’t know anything about it though.
Any truth in the rumour Yates has asked to leave. Or is that the usual Billy bullshit?

It's pretty obvious Jerry is a little unsettled, he's gone from our main man to being limited to the odd start/sub appearance. He is under a long contract so we'd still want a decent fee, I suspect he'll still be a Blackpool player next season.

As you say on the balance of probabilities he’ll probably stay, probably for the contract reason. But him leaving this summer also wouldn’t take anyone by surprise.( said probably there a lot)

Gary is the only bona fides ITK on this board, interested to see his response. Or lack of 😏

Strange how we as fans had to boycott the club to assist in getting rid of the regime. Yet an ex player who was treated abysmally by the regime gets slated for not wishing to congratulate them. Very odd standards.
A lot of the 09/10 squad were treated appallingly by the Oystons but I didn’t see any of them giving it ‘I’m a big man keyboard warrior’ with his sh*thouse Twitter messages.

The lad burnt his bridges with Pool.

I don’t have a problem with what he’s said on Twitter, he’s only messing about.

Any signings should be done for football reasons, if we did sign him and he scored the winner on his debut he’d be a hero.

I don't do twitter, but if what one pool said is what happened then it is hardly a capital offence. I think the world is in danger of taking itself much too seriously.

He did reply a few posts up to be fair.
He says he just thinks Championship clubs will be looking to sign him, not particularly Blackpool.
Yeh I know that I want to see if theres any insight to the Yates situation more than anything

From what I've heard and seen of his time at the Nobbers, he's had a lot of injury time, and playing inconsistently. We don't need a player who's great once every 6-8 matches when he's fit, we can find them anywhere.
Covid and injuries this season, one particularly bad.
Otherwise over 200 games for the nobbers, so not exactly injury prone.
still a no from me.

Not heard anything but I wouldn’t be surprised at all, wants to be playing.

He can want to leave all he wants but as the highest earner with 3 years left on his deal, finding someone who will pay what the club would want him for him could prove difficult.

Aye just looked at his stats, barring this season he's played most games in previous ones. For a 'forward, 1 goal every 5 games on average isn't great and the Nobbers obviously feel that wage-wise and possibly his injury causing longer term problems, he's not worth keeping at Championship level.

Similar to what I thought, in the pursuit of guaranteed Championship goals (i.e moving Jerry on to bring someone else in) I thought they'd have been happy to take 300/400k (Break even point?). Surely someone like Peterborough, Wednesday Wigan et al would stump that up.

Was a bit unsure myself when we offered him that new contract.

I think they’d be looking for £1.5m as a minimum given the contract.

Jesus. No chance then.

If he’s on 10k a week then and he continues to be pretty poor next year he’s going to go from a fans favourite to a player of complete ire next season.

I said at the time I didn’t think it was wise giving him that contract. I could see why we did it, but in reality half of his goals were penalties and he was completely unproven at Championship level.

Looks like he’s with us for the next two years then.

Tbh it’s worrying that we’ll likely go into next season with the same strike force.

Nobber I work with has said things went on behind the scenes and he made it clear to some time ago he by wasn't signing a new contract.
