Barnsley

If they get beat by Pompy and then we can beat them next Saturday then it goes to the last game of the season. We have Reading away 😭😭 and Barnsley have Northampton at home who are 11th. Also Oxford play Lincoln on Tuesday, if Lincoln can win then that's a possibility too. It's not over yet
And once we get into the playoffs we'll piss past Bolton or Derby, then batter Posh in the final.

Aaaaaaand, '🤌' you're back in the room!!

Unfortunately Fred it’s the hope that kills you

Fleetwood easily beat Northampton today who have absolutely nothing left to play for.

Can’t see Barnsley loosing to them then again I can’t see us beating Reading and that’s if we beat Barnsley which I’m not sure we can with this strike force.

I think your clutching at straws personally.

If we were in Barnsley's position we would be looking nervously over our shoulders. All we can do is keep winning and see where it takes us.

He will play the same team including CJ who really is an embarrassment with his work rate (bar running back and not really putting in any challenge) and team commitment . But we won 1 nil at Carlisle 🙄

He needs to start Joseph and I would say lavery but needs to change it... but 100% He won't and will be same boring shite that we have watched all season

We'll beat Lincoln 4-0 mate, sorry. 🎣😅

I would love to see Barnsley lose against both Pompey and you, just for giggles...

Disagree.. at home in the League we matched them with 10 men for 45 minutes. We could and should have won.

I would prefer the heartbreak of missing out on the play offs (which will be minimal as I have already accepted we won't make them) than the heartbreak of losing in them. How anyone can even want to be in them after recent performances is beyond me. It could and probably will end in embarrassment.

Not sure we would, I think if we made the playoffs, and I don’t think we will, but if we did, we would be very solid & competitive, just like we have been in all cup competitions this season. I don’t think anyone would want to play us and I would really fancy us in it. If we make it to 6th we are going up!

So you'd turn down the possibility of promotion because you wouldn't want to be embarrassed?

Embarrassed in front of whom?

It's a laughable, weak statement.

That's what really irks me
I do believe our playoff pedigree would have stood us in good stead, were we to have qualified.
Don't believe any team would envy playing us in a knockout scenario, but, then again, it's incidental now.
Cambridge, Cheltenham and Port Vale away; Orient, Port Vale and Wycombe at home have been the lowlights for me.
A point from the away fixtures and winning those at home, not unrealistic with the squad we have, would have given us 9 more points.
Not saying we should win every game, but if we can score 4 at Fratton, surely we could have put up more of a fight against the aforementioned.

We ain't getting in.the play offs and even if we did we wouldn't win.them, it's as simple as that. Time to look forward to next season.

i genuinely do think it would have been a challenge to do the play offs this season . WE Have to be stronger next term. my son has a invite to a corporate box with his business contacts. think his friend is doing the pitch side sponsorship. Property mgt . I am promised a doggy bag and a programme. Barnley will be up for it as we will be. good game in prospect. UTMP.

In many ways I just hope it ends on Saturday (as it probably will end!).
Taking it to the last day gives Critchley way more kudos than he deserves!

To my mind the only game we played four at the back and we looked better with 10 than we do with 11(10 if CJ plays) with 3 at the back.

I think this line from the preview of their game speaks volumes. Send to me like their arses have gone!!

After two wins in the last nine, though, it is less about league tables, more about momentum for Collins as he assesses minor injuries to Jon Russell and Luca Connell.
