Just saw that there's a Bass kit on ebay at the moment, on £200 with over four days to run still!
Anyone who's bought the club shop replica, what's it like? Anyone bidding on the real one? What do you think it will fetch in the end? I'm going for about £500.

I've still got one of those and when I bought it the shop were waiting for the next batch in so we're selling the tops that had been worn by the players. You couldn't choose the number and just had to take the next number in the pile. So I ended up with a 3 on the back so if I'm right was worn by Steve Morgan.
I've no proof of it being worn by a player and only going off what they said in the shop but it does have a 3 on the back and it's not a stick on number 3.
If that one goes for near 500 I might be getting mine on ebay.

Last one went for £800 on eBay. I bought mine about 5+ years ago for £50 on eBay…how the market has changed!
 
I have a Harry Feeney 87-88 kit somewhere at my mother's house. I need to find it. It's in there somewhere. And a 91-92 Inenco shirt.

I also have Man City and Crystal Palace youth kits that TG gave me as a kid there.

Also a USA1994 Argentina (adidas) World Cup shirt which is a thing of beauty.
 
Think I paid around £300 for my original 3 years ago so I'd expect it to rise yet. Like all vintage shirts, if it was a kids size it would be worth much less than that.
 
I've got one in much better condition than that. Doesn't even fit me any more but I couldn't bear to sell it for reasons I cant begin to explain! I must be insane.

The Bass logo on mine is really faded and yet it was still about 300 quid! The sizing is bizarre, a very narrow fitting and really long. I understand why you can't sell it 😁

Funny re sizing - I recall having a chat with David Batty at an LUFC do (I was living in Leeds) & he said the players grabbed the biggest shirts they could at the time (Early 90’s), as was the fashion.

Imagine today’s ‘slim-fit’ shirts favour a reduced rate of shirt-pulling at corners etc - plus magically a saving for the manufacturers, who will suggest ‘that’s the fashion’, whilst the rest just buy a size up.

Similarly those ‘Brazil-inspired’ brief shorts of the ‘80’s - not a good look!😳

Those were the days when it actually fitted me Wizzer 😂😂. It’s neatly folded away with some of my other old Pool shirts. Would you like to swap it for your match worn Tony Rodwell shirt that you took out of my hands 😜 on the pitch after the play off semis at Bloomers. Was it v Scunny, can’t remember now

It was the last game of the 91-92 season pal. It would have been too big for you🤣🤣🤣

I tell you why I can’t remember many details. We went into the Bloomfield club after the game and got lashed on Carlsberg Hof - such a bad head the next day.

Incidentally, my fav old shirt is the Telewest 3rd kit in very dark navy with white shoulders. It’s got Simpson on the back and signed by him. I wouldn’t sell it for any price.

I wore it to the L2 play off Final at Cardiff and if you have an old VHS version of the clubs video of the final and watch it past the credits to the end, the TV crew filmed me after the game and I’m happily, slightly merry, singing Simmo, Simmo, Simmo. Fame and happy days 😆
 
Looks in good condition that. Will got for 700 quid ish I recon.

Madness for such a minging top. I have one from when I was 12 or so. I didnt like it then but was bought it. I'd never sell it mind
 
Will everyone calling the Bass top minging please wash their mouth out. Christian Dior, Coco Chanel.. none of them could have designed something of such beauty
 
The replica one is really good quality. It feels quite heavy when you pick it up, not like the shirts these days which are lightweight and flimsy.

I don’t think it’s a linear graph between age and price, this shirt is nowhere near as valuable as a lot of the others (Bass in particular). He’s going to really struggle to sell it for even half that price!

Have you got photos of that Harry Feeney kit? I'm studying kits and working with an illustrator on a project.
 
The (original) gola shirts were the nicest looking. I picked up an unworn one with no sponsor from the screen printer.

Aparently the away kits after the the umbro and early white away hobbot kits, the away colour was just these shirts turned a deep blue purple from the tangerine home shirts and where the blue piping is on the tangerine home shirts, orange piping instead on the blue purple away. Is this correct?

Seen way worse than than that, any kit between 2001 and 2010 of any club or country anywhere and generally umbro is worse than this haha apart from that this is worse than the anything decent for sure. Has its charm though.
All the brands by 2000 is thought its the millenium, change kits to a new look and it went horribly wrong, since stabilised with the South Africa world cup and everything football general wise 2010/11 onwards apart from the France kits who had to get to 2014 before they made the badge and shirts belting again and got rid of that shit version of the badge, but shirt shite hell was defos 2000-2010.
