Benalmadena Pueblo

Just back from a four day break.
This time we opted for the old town of Benalmadena and not the touristy prom etc which we have done before.

I can highly recommend it, if your after a bit more of traditional Spain rather than the hustle and bustle. Traditional bars, restaurants, old narrow, flower laden streets and very friendly locals. We went on the cable car up to the top of some mountain/hill and watched a falconry display which was excellent and value for money.

Overall a decent few days just chilling and enjoying a cerveza or two.

Just thought i’d share 😜

SK; we've not been to Benalmadena, but we're looking at the Hotel Estival Torrequebrada on the sea front for next year with our young Seasider grandson & his mum/dad. Do you know that hotel & if so, is it walking distance to the old town?

We still like Mijas Pueblo but of course it has been commercialised a lot but still retains its charm and beauty.

I lived there in an Airbnb 3 Bedroomed 2 storey penthouse with two floors Jan/Feb last year with return flights for cancelled Barnsley weekend & 9 days for Fulham away & Scotland v England Six Nations.
Booked again straight away for2/1/23-28/2/23 for £2100.
Out here now with my good lady friend, for San Juan Festival.
Arroyo de La Meil (truely Spanish where train station is ) is “cheap as chips” but good quality, seafront is amazing.
Having a great week with Iloveholidays.com for base price £335 each we paid £471 with upgrades for better flights, sea view balcony from apartment, extra leg room flights, priority boarding, fast track check-in.
Had a great day on the beach today after day in Malaga yesterday.
Going to spend tomorrow on the beach in Marbella.
You’ll love the place…but…..not sure I’d come during school holiday😀
Hope you enjoy your trip.
Ash.🧡
