BEST GOALKEEPER THIS SEASON IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP

got to be for me the forest keeper ,is it bambi ,or something like that(nobbers seem to think its iverson )seen him make some terrible mistakes.

I remember before we played forest their message board was slagging him off as a weak link but I thought he did well against us and the other night he was superb .

The guy at Huddersfield is pretty good, Lee Nicholls, so it will be a good match up in the play off final.

The guy at Forest has always had a mistake in him when I’ve seen him on TV but TBF he was quality on Tuesday night. Johnstone as mentioned above, Travers for Bournemouth, then I’d say I dont recall many others better than Grimshaw.

Good shout on Travers, won them the game at Bloomfield Road - with a little help from the referee 🤨😂

Samba/Bamba or whatever his name is from Forest. His performance in the play offs the other night is one of the best I’ve seen.

Grimshaw was very good. Not sure if he’s the best in the championship or not, there are some good keepers from what I’ve seen, but fair to say given his potential I can’t think of one I’d swap him for.

I think keepers are a class apart. There are some in the Championship who would do well in the Prem. It doesn't go by the league position with those guys.

Sam Johnstone at WBA must be in for a shout. England GK who made a couple of world class saves at Bloomfield Road. Likely not a WBA player come July though
Even after seeing the replays I still don't know how he pulled off that double save from point blank range.

Lee Nicholls at Huddersfield is the best time wasting goalie in the Chsmp. 6 bookings for time wasting this season - imagine how much he must have done to prompt 6 bookings.

Hopefully Forest will beat Hudds at Wembley and he won’t be able to spend another afternoon doing it..

Yep not sure what’s happened to Lumley this season. I’ve seen a few games on TV and he’s looked nervous and edgy, prior to that I’ve always thought he was a solid keeper. I genuinely think there’s very little between most of the Keepers in the top few divisions. They’re all capable of pulling off top draw saves and they’re all just as capable of dropping a clanger when you least expect it. It does take an exceptional run of form to stand out from the crowd. For what it’s worth I think Grimmy was as solid and reliable as any of the opposition keepers I saw at Bloomfield Road and made several important saves for us. At the highest level after seeing yet another superb performance last night Nick Pope for me should be automatic choice to start as England keeper but pretty sure Southgate will stick with Pickford sadly.
