20% of which goes back to the Government in tax. These key workers really are thought highly of.1.3 million members of staff @ £3.50/wk (for the nurses) × 52 weeks/year =£236,600,000/yr. I'll add 25% for pension and NI = £295,750,000/yr.
At an individual level it's a pittance, but it's a fair old chunk when we aggregate it.
