Better news on Joseph?

Thought originally some had been forecasting he'd be out until the end of the year. At least now it looks like a month.

Summer signing Kyle Joseph is sidelined too with a hamstring issue, which is set to rule him out for at least a month. The 21-year-old forward who was signed from Swansea City - has been limited to just one appearance in the FL Cup, and there is a real need for goals having drawn a blank in the league since the opening day.

Imagine after all this if he had the prowess of Malkin, the speed of Doolan, the presence of Indrek Zelinski and the backside of Andy Gouck 😳

Maybe it is Critchley making out it is worse than what it is, so that he doesn't have to field questions every 2 minutes. I can see Joseph being wheeled out in October.

‘ At least a month’ he then has to be on the grass, then ready to join in training, then training with the rest of the lads. We then move on to needing to get match fit, so a game with the lads, next comes a couple of matches on the bench, a couple of substitute appearances. All in all, yeah Christmas/ new year.🤣

Just listening to the INOIT podcast and the presenter (don’t know his name) says Joseph is out until next year - rumour or fact?

They said he was months away about 3 weeks ago and that lead people to think he had torn his hamstring so would be out till January. It was never confirmed and with him already back running, I doubt it was torn.

Good that he is back running 👏
And according to this report it was a hamstring injury which followed on from an ankle injury!!

Critch: 25 Aug "It's a hamstring injury for Kyle- which is unfortunate. “I would've thought that it'd be a lengthy one; months rather than weeks."

Personally, I feel he must be nearer than the New Year away or am pretty sure they wouldn't have left Critch with 3 strikers one of which was injured on TDD .. if they have then they're idiots.

Sounds much sooner. About a week ago Critch said..

“It’s not a long-term one, it’ll probably only keep him out for a couple of weeks." (Shayne Lavery)

“Kyle (Joseph) will be a little bit longer, Jordan Gabriel will be a little bit longer.

Gabriel told people last Sunday that he was about 4 weeks away, so going by what Critch said they will be back around the same time. So end of this month, beginning of next hopefully.

Though I like the guy and think he's potentially a transformative player for us in league one Jordan Gabriel's injury record is almost Stewartesque at this point. Seems he's out for 6-9 months, comes back, plays 3 games, out for another 6 months.

Would be a huge boost if he can come back for real this time as I think he's one of those players who could be worth 4-5 million if he stayed fit.

I put a like next to your post until I saw the £4-5m value. 🤣🤣🤣

And the if he stays fit is a big ask too. Just hoping Joseph isn't as bad as him and Stewart re: injuries.

Kyle (Joseph) is on the grass and doing some tentative ball work and straight line running, which is a good sign of progress but he's still a number of weeks away yet.

Should end the debate on this one .. I'd say start of November?
